@ann1pjo Rhaenys’ hair color doesn’t impact her story at all. Daeron being a brunette (might be hair dye) is an interesting wrinkle. A Targ raised as a Hightower. He doesn’t have the silver hair, he’s raised in The Faith, but he has a dragon and dragon’s blood. Great internal struggle.

If Alicent has a decade long agenda to undermine Rhaenyra & her argument hinges on the boys not looking Valyrian, her position is a lot more persuasive when people see all her children having Valyrian features.

Alicent's accusation already had plausible deniability because people saw it as their grandmother's Baratheon genes coming through.

I assumed Daemon started pulling away because they remind him of Laena and/or make him feel guilty but the show does a shit job of showing it
