@whoiswrs There is actually. A girl married to a man without her consent or through manipulation or forced to stay in such a marriage out of fear and embarrassment. That is grape.

@asabbas98 @ThePillarsApp In that case, how about the following: Thursday 29 January 2026 10 Sha’aban 1447 (+01:56) You can add a tooltip on it explaining what the + part means. In last hour of the day, the (e.g. +23:45) you can colour it red and start blinking it.

Salaam folks, I need your input for @ThePillarsApp We've been trying to figure out the best way to present the Hijri calendar in our app ... especially with Ramadan coming up. Basically we have TWO options: #1 - BOTH Hijri Dates for the Day e.g. today is 28th January ... which means it's 9th Sha'ban until Maghrib ... then it switches to 10th Sha'ban. Therefore, we'd show BOTH dates and underline which one it is CURRENTLY (see image 1) #2 - ONE (Dynamic) Hijri Date We'll show you ONLY ONE Hijri date depending on if it's before / after Maghrib. e.g. before Maghrib you will see 9th Sha'ban. After Maghrib you will see 10th Sha'ban ... but we don't show both. It's MUCH cleaner (without both dates & the underline) .... but it's limited data and could be confusing (e.g. you're fasting on 22nd Ramadan but Taraweeh that night will be for 23rd Ramadan ... but looking at Pillars it'll say 22nd (correctly so) What do you think? Poll below 📊👇

The issue with Tailwind Labs is really sad. Tons of businesses will die because of AI and we clearly see it in our industry. I said it: most software dependencies will go away unless they can save A LOT of tokens to LLMs. For instance, if we take Laravel, I don't see the framework dying. It's too important. I don't see Forge or Cloud dying too. These save a lot of time and make sure things happen in the real world. But what about paid packages like Laravel Spark? I replicated it in a few minutes and it's tailor made for my needs only. It's now useless (and I still have a license for it). I'm wondering what will happen once inference speed is 100x what we have right now and context window virtually infinite. Maybe even the framework will no longer be useful. It's impossible to predict. It seems like the new gold rush is applying AI to fundamental businesses operating in the real world: healthcare, logistics, restaurants, hotels, etc. I'm working really hard in 2026 to make such a business take off and ensure I can provide for my fiancée and our children for as long as possible.

I doubt JNU alone explains it. There are usually deeper, foundational issues, sometimes rooted in unresolved childhood experiences, that make a person receptive to ideologies so radically opposed to their upbringing. Charged environments like JNU may accelerate the drift, but they rarely create it from nothing.

Think of a mother who raised him on the principles of haq and truth, then saw him drifting from faith and then in the jaw of hindutva of five long years. As a mother I can't even fathom. If you claim to love someone and you don't worry for their akhira then you are lying.

It’s fairly common to see individuals from prominent, practicing families deviate and adopt beliefs antithetical to Islam, sometimes out of contempt, sometimes out of rebellion. Something fractures along the way. Perhaps, from the inside, they perceive things as hypocritical, dogmatic, or hollow.

Every time they publicly stand in his support, they should clarify that they do so as parents, not as endorsers of his views or beliefs. He is not a Muslim, even though he has most likely been incarcerated for having a Muslim name. What I observe is a misplaced pride on his father’s face, as though his son were a figure worthy of admiration. This, to me, lies at the root of the problem. They failed to correct him early on.

A parent’s role doesn’t diminish simply because other influences exist. Regardless of what efforts have been made privately, the parents have a responsibility to publicly disavow beliefs that contradict Islam, particularly when their son is a prominent figure and hailed as a hero and whose views are being consumed by Muslims. Loving your child and wanting their freedom is natural. But that love should not come at the cost of silence on matters of aqeedah, especially when that silence is misread as endorsement.

@abstruse_angle What can the parents even do? They are doing everything under the sun to save him, I personally feel his partner woman has more influence on his deen than his parents.

Advising women to observe patience, accommodate, and help their husband rectify his sins is ihsaan. However, women should not be burdened or forced to endure, especially when such behaviour becomes normalised in society. That is essentially a breach of their trust. If they are unable to live with the situation, there is no sin in seeking khul. Allah has granted them this right unconditionally.

This is typical Hindu mindset! Women learned to endure because they had no legal right to divorce up until 1955. This has got nothing to do with Islam. In fact, Allah granted women the right to seek khula, even without the husband’s consent in severe cases, over 1400 years ago.
ابنِ خان@IbneKhan01

One of the reasons marriages lasted longer in previous generations was precisely this mindset among women. Moreover, a woman in a nikah cannot divorce, she can only ask for a divorce by seeking khula.

There is something iv been wanting to express since really long, I feel today is that day & I must . This so called trend of giving money, in the disguise of marketing a film, to ensure good ‘hype’ for a film is created or else ‘they’ will continuously write negative things (even before the film is released), until you pay ‘them’ money feels nothing but kind of extortion. Just because this arrangement is accessible to anyone- whether to ‘hype’ a film or spread negativity against another actor/a film is a plague that is going to affect the future of our industry in a big way. Unfortunately if anyone feels- it’s harmless & let’s do it because it’s the new ‘normal’, is mistaken. This monster of a ‘trend’ is eventually going to bite everyone. If truth is exposed about a million things under the garb of who & what ‘success’ is over the past 5 years esp , unfortunately it’s not going to be a pretty picture for many. In South no one can dare do such things because the industry stands united on lot of fronts. I urge our esteemed producers, directors & actors to come together in order to arrest this termite of a culture at this stage itself & discourage it . I say this as a wife of an extremely honest man who has given everything to this film with his undying hard-work, vision & grit along with his team to create something that I know India shall be proud of. I say this as a deeply concerned member of the fraternity who, like many other industry professionals, wishes to see Indian cinema blossom with its best potential & not the other way around. Lets not kill the joy of film making & presenting it to the world & letting the audience decide what they feel. We need to protect our industry environment. #ChardiKalaa 🙏🏻 #JaiMataDi 🙏🏻 #Dhurandhar

There was a time when I stayed up all night and slept all day because there wasn’t anything worth waking up for. No plans. No goals. No purpose. Then I got my Neuralink implant and everything shifted. I started going to bed early. I woke up excited for the day ahead. And just like that, I had found purpose again. Since then: • I’m back in school • I’ve launched a business • I’m traveling • I’m speaking on global stages Neuralink didn’t just change what I can do. It changed what I believe I’m capable of. It gave me hope. It gave me purpose. And for the first time in a long time, I’m excited for what’s next.
