It is authentically reported from ‘Abdullah ibn Mas‘ud رضي الله عنه regarding the virtues of Surah Al-Mulk: He said رضي الله عنه: “A man will be brought in his grave, and his legs will be approached, and his legs will say: ‘There is no way for you over us; he used to recite over us Surah Al-Mulk.’ Then his torso will be approached, and it will say: ‘There is no way for you over me; he used to contain within me Surah Al-Mulk.’ Then his head will be approached, and it will say: ‘There is no way for you over me; he used to recite through me Surah Al-Mulk.’ ‘Abdullah رضي الله عنه said: ‘It is the Preventer; it prevents from the punishment of the grave. And in the Tawrah it is: this is Surah Al-Mulk. Whoever recites it in a night has done much and done well.’” Reported by ‘Abdur-Razzaq (3/378) And from Murrah ibn Sharahil, from ‘Abdullah ibn Mas‘ud رضي الله عنه, he said: “Indeed, when a person dies, fires are kindled around him, and each fire consumes what is nearest to it if he does not have deeds that stand between him and it. And a man died who only recited from the Qur’an a surah of thirty verses. So it came to him from the direction of his head and said: ‘He used to recite me.’ Then it came to him from the direction of his feet and said: ‘He used to stand with me (in prayer).’ Then it came to him from the direction of his torso and said: ‘He used to contain me.’ He said: So it saved him. Murrah said: So Masruq and I looked into the Mushaf and did not find any surah of thirty verses except Tabarak (Surah Al-Mulk).” Reported by Al-Qasim ibn Salam in Fada’ilul-Qur’an (p. 260) - Compiled by our Shaykh Fawwaaz Muhammad Al-Awadhee, may Allah preserve him

Written by Shaykh Mohammad AlAnjari: Allah تعالى said: {As for man, when his Lord tests him and honors him and blesses him, he says: “My Lord has honored me.” But when He tests him and restricts his provision, he says: “My Lord has humiliated me.”} The way of measuring honor with Allah is not abundance or restriction, but rather the reality of the test and the slave’s understanding of what Allah intends by blessing and deprivation - just as the Companions رضي الله عنهم understood it. ♦️ It is authentically reported from ‘Abdullah ibn Mas‘ud رضي الله عنه that he said: “Indeed, Allah has distributed your characters among you just as He has distributed your provisions among you. And indeed, Allah gives wealth to those He loves and those He does not love, but He does not give Eemaan (Faith) except to those He loves.” ♦️ This is a great principle which clarifies that worldly provision is not evidence of love or honor; rather, it is a test. In contrast, faith is a sign of selection and virtue from Allah. ♦️ It is authentically reported from Qatadah رحمه الله regarding the statement of Allah تعالى: {As for man, when his Lord tests him and honors him and blesses him, he says: “My Lord has honored me”} “and rightfully so.” ♦️ The statement of Qatadah, “and rightfully so,” means that when Allah grants a slave honor and blessing, then an apparent honor and real blessing has indeed occurred. However, the following verse negates the assumption that abundance of provision is a necessary proof of absolute honor with Allah. So a blessing is a test and a trial, just as restriction is a test and a trial. ♦️ Al-Tabari said: Allah تعالى says: As for man, when his Lord tests him with blessings and wealth, so He honors him with wealth and bestows favor upon him, and blesses him with what He has expanded for him of His bounty, he says: “My Lord has honored me,” so he rejoices in that, is pleased with it, and says: “My Lord has honored me with this honor.” ♦️ It is authentically reported from Qatadah رحمه الله regarding the statement of Allah تعالى: {But when He tests him and restricts his provision, he says: “My Lord has humiliated me”} - “How quick is the disbelief of the son of Adam!” ♦️ The statement of Qatadah, “How quick is the disbelief of the son of Adam,” means how quickly a person denies the favors of Allah. When his provision is restricted, he assumes it is humiliation, whereas it is in fact a test and trial - not honor nor humiliation in and of itself. ♦️ Al-Tabari said: But when his Lord tests him with poverty {and restricts his provision} meaning He constricts his provision and limits it, so his wealth is not increased nor expanded, {he says: “My Lord has humiliated me”}, meaning this person says: “My Lord has humiliated me,”, he has disgraced me with poverty, and he does not thank Allah for what He has granted him of sound limbs and provision of well-being in his body. ♦️ Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said: “That is: not everyone whom I have blessed and expanded provision for have I honored, and not everyone whom I have tested and restricted provision for have I humiliated. Rather, I test this one with blessings, and I honor that one through trials.” ♦️ So the slave is between a blessing that tests his gratitude and a trial that tests his patience. Wealth is not a sign of Allah’s pleasure, nor is poverty a sign of His anger. Rather, the measure is the truthfulness of ubudiyyah (submission to enslavement to Allah). Whoever understands that, his heart is made sound, his affairs are set straight, and he attains success upon the truth by realizing true ubudiyyah, sincerely worshipping Allah alone with no partner, and believing in divine decree - its good and its bad - upon what the Prophet ﷺ and his Companions رضي الله عنهم were upon.

✒️ O Muslim man, O Muslim woman: These are three tremendous matters in your religion, so remember them well and reflect upon them: 1️⃣ Your religion is complete. It does not need any addition from an innovator, nor any newly invented innovation. 2️⃣ Your religion is preserved. Nothing from it has been lost, nor has it been changed or altered. Whatever the people of innovation have introduced is only a distortion of meanings, as Allah said about the yahood: {They distort the words from their proper places} [An-Nisa: 46]. And there will always remain a group from Ahlus-Sunnah and Hadeeth who refute this distortion and clarify the truth in every time and place. 3️⃣ Your religion has been conveyed. There is nothing you need from the matters of your religion except that it has already reached you, transmitted and preserved. 🔑 Remember it well: Your religion is complete, preserved, and conveyed. By this, you invalidate every misguidance and refute every innovation. Taken from Fada’il wa Jamalul-Islam (Part Two) 🎙 By Shaykh Abul-‘Abbaas ‘Aadil ibn Mansur Al-Baashaa – may Allah preserve him

👉Should you fast the 6️⃣ days of Shawwal if you still have missed days from Ramadan❓ 🔹Allah said in a Hadith Qudsi: ((“My slave does not draw near to Me with anything more beloved to Me than the religious duties I have obligated upon him.")) 🔹It is also reported by Abdul Razzaq, from Ath-Thawri, from Uthman bin Madh'un who said: "I heard Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه being asked: ‘Indeed I have days to make up from Ramadan, can I fast ten days voluntarily?’ Abu Hurairah replied: 'No. Why would you do that? You should begin by fulfilling the right of Allah, then you can fast voluntarily whatever you want afterwards.'" 🔹Sheikh Ibn Baz رحمه الله was asked: "Is it permissible to fast the six days of Shawwal while I still have missed days to make up from Ramadan? I have a strong desire to do so but I am unable to make up the missed days due to certain circumstances, such as studying and other similar things, as well as marriage and family obligations. So please guide me, may Allah reward you." Sheikh Ibn Baz replied: "It is obligatory to make up the missed days of Ramadan before fasting the six days of Shawwal. The six days of Shawwal should not be fasted until one has made up any missed days of Ramadan, as the Prophet ﷺ said: ((Whoever fasts Ramadan and follows it with six days of Shawwal...)). And whoever still has days to make up has not yet fasted Ramadan. He still has some of Ramadan remaining, and the six days of Shawwal follow on from after Ramadan. So one must first make up any missed days of Ramadan, and then fast the six days of Shawwal." _

The Prophet ﷺ said: “Take your shield.” His Companions said: “O Messenger of Allah, from a present enemy?” He said: “No, rather your shield from the Fire is saying: Subhan Allah, Alhamdulillah, La ilaha illa Allah, and Allahu Akbar. For indeed, these words will come on the Day of Resurrection as saviors and as those that come after each other, and they are the righteous deeds that last.” ===== Authenticated by Shaykh AlAlbaani in Silsah As-Saheehah

👉What duaa should we say while hoping for and seeking the blessings of worship in LaylatulQadr❓ Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I said, "O Messenger of Allah, if I knew which night is Laylatul-Qadr, what should I say in it?" He ﷺ said: "Say: O Allah, You are the One who pardons and You love to pardon, so pardon me." *اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ العَفْو فَاْعْفُ عَنَّي* The scholar Ibn Muflih explained: “The meaning of عفو (afw) is: To leave something To conceal something To cover something So the meaning of اللهم إنك عفو تحب العفو فاعف عني is: O Allah, leave off holding me to account for my wrongdoings. Conceal my sins for me. Turn Your punishment away from me.” ================ Notes: This hadeeth is an encouragement to say this duaa whenever we hope it might be LaylatulQadr, which is in the last ten nights of Ramadan, and even more likely in the odd nights Also look at how beautifully simple and easy the guidance of the Messenger ﷺ was for his wife, and how she conveyed that knowledge for all of the Muslims to act upon and benefit from.

When paying zakah on Gold in cash, do we go with the rate from the beginning of the year, end of the year, or an average❓ Shaykh AlFawzaan explained that if you are paying zakah on your gold in cash, then you pay based on the current market price. This is because zakah is actually due as 2.5% *of your gold* - so if you are not giving that amount of your gold, you need to give the equivalent in cash, which would be the current market price for it.

🌆 Reminder About the Virtue of the Two Rakahs Before Fajr 🌆 ‘Aishah reported: “The Prophet ﷺ was more regular and consistent in observing two rak‘ahs before Fajr than he was with any of the voluntary prayers.” (Agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim). And she also reported that the Prophet ﷺ said: “The two rak‘ahs of Fajr are better than the world and all that it contains.” رواه مسلم (Reported by Muslim). And in another narration: “those two rakahs are more beloved to me than the entire world.” And in another hadeeth, there was a time The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not come out of his house to lead the fajr prayer as early as normal. When he eventually came out and prayed with the people, he informed Bilal that ‘Aishah had occupied him with a matter she asked him about until it became very late in the dawn, and that this had delayed him in coming out. And the Prophet ﷺ said: “Indeed, I had prayed the two rak‘ahs of before Fajr.” Bilal said: “O Messenger of Allah, it has become very late in the dawn for you!” He replied: “Even if it had become later than it did, I would still have prayed them, and I would have performed them well and beautifully.” Reported by Abu Dawud authenticated by AlAlbaani. Shaykh Abdul-Azeez Ibn Baaz explained: All of these hadiths relate to the Sunnah of Fajr. The Sunnah of Fajr is highly encouraged; they are two rak‘ahs before the prayer. If they are missed, they are made up after the prayer or after sunrise. So it is recommended for the believer to maintain them and be diligent in observing them, whether traveling or resident. If one oversleeps and misses them, he should pray them along with the obligatory prayer when he wakes up. For this reason, when the Prophet ﷺ and the Companions overslept during one of their journeys and did not wake up until feeling the heat of the sun, the Prophet ﷺ instructed Bilal to give the athaan. Then he prayed the Sunnah of Fajr, then the iqamah was given and he led the obligatory prayer. This indicates that the Sunnah of Fajr is highly encouraged and that it is prayed along with the Fajr prayer - even if outside its proper time. The Sunnah in performing them is to keep them short and not lengthen them. After Al-Faatihah, he ﷺ would (most often) recite in them: {Qul: AyyuhelKaafiroon…} and {Qul: HuwaAllahu Ahad…}

What do we understand about the shayaateen being chained in Ramadan❓ Prophet Muhammadﷺ said: (( When Ramadan comes, the gates of Paradise are opened, the gates of the hellfire are closed, and the shayaateen are enchained )) Shaykh Uthaymeen رحمه الله explained about the shayateen: “They are not able to lead people astray to the extent that they are able to lead them astray in other months” ========== So this is a huge opportunity Allah has given us to make it easier for us to do more good deeds and to stay away from bad deeds

🌅What is the reward for fasting and praying the night prayer in Ramadan? 🌌 Here’s a reminder of the hadeeths in which the Prophet ﷺ said: (( Whoever fasts Ramadan with faith and hoping for the reward, their previous sins will be forgiven )) And in another hadeeth: (( Whoever stands in prayer in Ramadan with faith and hoping for the reward, their previous sins will be forgiven )) And also: (( Whoever stands in prayer during LaylatulQadr with faith and hoping for the reward, their previous sins will be forgiven )) [these are all authentic in Sahih AlBukhari and Sahih Muslim] May Allah make these deeds easy for us and accept them from us
