@AllegedButler I’m referencing the comment that says “wait until we refer to him as…” so I guess you could say biased against a person but since that person is the leader of a district, seemed like a close enough description.

Interesting, here's a letter in the Times calling our Cayuga Heights Elementary School coverage misinformation and supporting former Principal Lisa Sahasrabudhe, who was promoted after high teacher departures. Common Council hopeful West Fox signs on. ithaca.com/opinion/guest_…

There are so few ways to help future educators imagine a kind of teaching they have not seen or experienced, and I wonder if remixing stories and playing within and without constraints are a way toward that imagined future teaching.
Teachers College, Columbia University@TeachersCollege

How does remixing the stories we love help us imagine new futures? This week on Pop and Play, @haenyyoon and @nrholbert talk with @mbdando about the Marvel series What If…? (and more!) Subscribe and listen: tinyurl.com/s2e3whatif

How are we preparing teachers to do this? I know this is not how I was prepared to teach so I have dedicated myself to learning how to take this approach to teacher education. It's hard work, but it can be done and we see how from Cultivating Genius among others.

As a new teacher, I often got caught in a cycle of taking behavior personally and reacting in a way that the kids took personally and then not understanding their reaction. This lesson is hard to learn but critical - for teachers at all stages.
Cult of Pedagogy@cultofpedagogy

When we take things personally we see our current circumstances through a completely different lens. And this pretty much never makes things better. cultofpedagogy.com/edutips/edutip…
