نعم، الإمارات كانت تقدّم دعماً مباشراً للجيش الصومالي بحوالي 3.6 مليون دولار شهرياً، وهو دعم نقدّره وقد انقطع منذ نحو عامين.
لكن الوقائع على الأرض تُظهر أن هذا الدعم لم يكن بريئاً سياسياً؛ إذ تزامن مع دعم موازٍ من الخلف لمشاريع الانفصال والتقسيم عبر مليشيات محلية وكيانات موازية، في تعارض صريح مع سيادة الدولة الصومالية ووحدتها الوطنية.
دعم الجيوش الوطنية لا يستقيم مع تقويض الدولة من الداخل، ولا يمكن تغليفه بالمساعدات بينما تُدار أجندات تفكيك خارج الأطر الدستورية

قررت الإمارات وقف دعمها المالي الشهري الذي يقدر ب 5 ملايين $ لقوات الأمن الصومالية لتغطية الرواتب، والوقود، وخدمات طبية، وغذائية، وهو جزء من دعم مالي يقدر ب 200 مليون$ قدم للصومال شمل إمدادات غدائية ومساعدات إنسانية. كل ذلك سيتوقف مع التمنيات ان يخرج هذا البلد المنكوب من الصوملة

في عام 2023 تعرضت زينب (اسم مستعار) للاغتصاب الجماعي خلال هجوم قوات الدعم السريع على مدينة الجنينة السودانية. بعدها بأسابيع اكتشفت أنها حامل ومنذ ذلك الحين تعيش في صراع نفسي ينعكس عليها وعلى علاقتها مع ابنتها.
