In order build education in gaming, we need to build ecosystems & communities that foster the sharing of knowledge in the gaming industry. #africagamesweek is a great example of community building this community.

Studios are bringing curriculums into their own processes to allow scaling from within. Creating an ecosystem of gaming education that integrates passionate individuals with skills and real-world knowledge. #gamingafrica #gamingstudios

Challenge is studios finding talent. Funding for studios means scale and scale requires talent. Educational institutions have not yet done the hardwork in building talent. Business looking at taking on that role from within.

To make educational games engaging, gameplay becomes a central role. Make it challenging, engaging & use it as a starting point to inspire further education.

Looking at games as an educational tool: No need to be overly educational. Keep entertainment and user experience central to the process #educational #games #gamesforeducation
