SLPs use CORE vocabulary to support students’ language development. And today Wallace SLPs hosted a CORE Q& A with a district AT SLP for the ECSE teachers at our school. Of course we had to have doughnuts to celebrate that our teachers “do good work” #risdbetheone @RISDSLPs

transportation week in Pre-K calls for a proper stoplight 🔴🟡🟢! so many skills targeted in this little small group craft : following directions, fine motor skills, matching, requesting, turn-taking!!

finished up our apple unit with a little taste test!! we targeted: describing, compare/contrast, complex sentences, and turn-taking!

another year of pushing in to pre-K for a six week conversation workshop! I use color my conversation 💛💚💙❤️💛 & the kids love it! this helps me keep an eye on kiddos that might need a referral while also having fun & co-teaching foundational skills ☺️

themed snacks are becoming my favorite thing!! lots of requesting & protesting with CORE vocabulary & the snacks turn out so cute & delicious 😋

I 🖤 book character day! talking about emotions! this SLP has a lot of feelings & I love sharing with my students that it’s okay to feel big feelings; but it’s important to listen to our feelings & communicate, so we can back to our peaceful/happy spot 💚💛
