As a child I really enjoyed going to school. I try really hard to give my students what my teachers gave me. I always felt safe and loved at school. I work really hard to give my students the same experience!

@DrLGray2010 I understand the trauma viewpoint, I truly do. The flipside is the realism of life. Outside of school is there someone who will allow an employee to sleep during work bc they have a rough life? I have allowed students to sleep, but I struggle with being empathetic and real.

My baby brother has been sent home on hospice with inoperable, aggressive cancer and now we have to plan for everything he wants to do while he still can. His birthday is in 2 weeks. How do you plan to celebrate something knowing it may be the last time? This sucks.💔
