.@aiwrapper is one of the few people in San Francisco in our community who actually tried to make SF better with their time. He put aside lucrative careers to work to make government better and that is admirable, earnest, and the correct thing to do.

When I was at Palantir, we cleared the backlog of the UK’s NHS by deploying scalable tech that flagged obvious errors, like ultrasounds scheduled for pregnant patients in their 11th month. How is it possible there’s a US federal agency (GAO) that reports this massive waste every year, yet no one’s eliminated it? Most of US gov still runs on Powerpoint and Excel. An engineering-first gov efficiency commission by @elonmusk could save trillions annually. Exciting possibilities ahead!

Dozens of the best hackers in the city came together this Saturday to continue accelerating SF @NewtonSF_. Inspired by SF City Attorney @DavidChiu's speech, here’s what they built: - Smart search engine for police body camera footage, allowing law enforcement to find insights quicker - Automatic summaries of SF Supervisor meetings with keyword search, alerts, and vote tracking over time - AI matching at-risk people to city services based on their unique situation and eligibilities - Application for city planners to streamline the permit process With continued effort, we will build SF into the most advanced city in America.
