ACCOSCA was was honoured to participate in a high-level consultative engagement convened and chaired by Hon. @Patrickkilemi (CBS, ADE) – Principal Secretary, State Department of Cooperatives in Kenya, bringing together key policymakers, development partners, and an eminent delegation from the World Bank Africa and the @WorldBankGroup @WorldBankAfrica led by Mr. Thilasoni Benjamin Musuku and Leah Kiwara - Senior Financial Sector Specialists, to deliberate on the strategic direction of the SACCO Central initiative (2015–2028), and its role in strengthening the cooperative financial architecture in Kenya. Mr. George Ombado, Executive Director of ACCOSCA, highlighted the institution’s global expertise in Central Liquidity Funds and payment systems as key to strengthening SACCO stability. He emphasized ACCOSCA’s role in adapting global standards to African realities and supporting regulators in liquidity design, risk management, and payment system reforms- advancing sector stability, financial inclusion, and regional integration. Eminent cooperative leaders in attendance included David Obonyo - Commissioner of Cooperative Development in Kenya, Arnold Munene (ADE, DEEU), Group Managing Director of @kuscco, CPA David Amiani Sandagi - acting Chief Executive Officer of Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority @SASRA_ke among other invited leaders.
