Not to defend Overwatch, but I tried playing this recently, I was so bored. Actually had zero gameplay. Just a walking sim.

My one pet peeve about engaging with any entertainment as a newer fan of an already established IP is that some people will claim that you cannot enjoy it or consider yourself a true fan until you have watched EVERY single movie, TV show, animated or live action, read every comic book, and therefore can pick up every single reference made. Our current culture of prequels, sequels, and reboots makes this very daunting and expensive, and some IPs have decades of media! Sometimes new fans just want to enjoy something for what it is without being pressured to do our research. This is supposed to be fun, not feel like homework. If we like our entry point enough to go back, then great! But it shouldn't be a prerequisite to play or watch new content. Not everyone needs to be a walking encyclopedia! I know I am definitely not. I'm lucky to remember what I had for breakfast!

Its insane how the internet is this insanely toxic fandom environment but then you go to a concert or a con and everyone is so nice and genuinely just loves their thing and it feels SO different in person

Never saw the appeal of roller coasters. Yeah we gonna wait on line for 45 minutes for a ride that lasts 90 seconds and the whole appeal is to scare the shit out of you by moving at speeds and heights that can kill you if something goes wrong. Bro just point me to the turkey legs
