Often referred to as a "Condor Moment" (Not sure that reference will stand for much longer), as #leaders it is important to take a metaphorical step back before acting. Things are seldom as desperate as they first appear and that pause for contemplation is invaluable. #ACFOfficer

Last night we said farewell to our latest cohort of new Officers. They've been an engaging and receptive bunch, ready to make a difference to thousands of cadets. Our parting session reminded them to take the Helicopter view and keep in mind the aim and big picture. #ACFOfficer

Mistakes happen, without mistakes we wouldn't have Post-It Notes, but how do you create an environment where your team feel comfortable making mistakes? Give the team freedom (within boundaries) to make mistakes, enjoy the air of trust, and marvel at the creativity released.

A gentle reminder to check in on yourself... How you doing? Over doing it? Skipping that exercise time to get "more work done"? To be the best leader you can be, you can't be busy *all* of the time. You have our permission to check in on yourself! #OwnOxygenMaskFirst #ACFOfficer
