Their animosity towards Israel is long standing.    It is undeniable that Iranian military aircraft are being housed on Pakistani air bases and past rhetoric from the highest Pakistani officials against Israel is disturbing.    As to the defense minister’s comments about the Abraham Accords, saying that Pakistan would never join because they don’t trust Israel: The clip may be a year old, but I fear the sentiment is fresh.    In that regard, it is imperative that Pakistan give an answer now to President Trump’s call to join the Abraham Accords.

General Zhang Shengmin, Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission, met with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Pakistani Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of the Army Staff, in Beijing on May 26. Zhang noted that President Xi Jinping attaches great importance to the development of China-Pakistan relations. Under the guidance of leaders of the two countries, the China-Pakistan all-weather strategic cooperative partnership keeps growing. China is ready to work with Pakistan to carry forward the traditional friendship, enhance strategic communication, expand practical cooperation, and promote sound and robust development of military-to-military relations, Zhang said. Noting that Pakistan will always be a good friend and good partner of China, Munir said the country is willing to work with China to deepen practical cooperation in such areas as defense and security, and elevate the Pakistan-China iron-clad friendship to even greater heights.

An Agreement has been largely negotiated, subject to finalization between the United States of America, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the various other Countries, as listed. Separately, I had a call with Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu, of Israel, which, likewise, went very well. Final aspects and details of the Deal are currently being discussed, and will be announced shortly. In addition to many other elements of the Agreement, the Strait of Hormuz will be opened.
