I love when someone is like “i feel wierd about you for something you did, but I won’t tell you what you did or how I feel. I’ll tell you once the part of the day where you don’t work is over” 😍

@ethanlculver I get what you’re saying, he definitely motivated a lot of people and had policies that a lot of people liked. Personally I never liked him regardless of his policies. I think it was a failure on party leaders to try and coronate Janet Mills when may of talented people were there

I mean… you’ve got to try sometimes. Even if there’s unflattering stuff in the past. It’s okay to try, if it’s something you really value doing, but you should have a better plan for how to deal with situations like this. Seems like he just didn’t anticipate any of it coming up. Which is very shortsighted, I agree.

@arcanedonovan I’m not drawn to either. I could see Abdul being vulnerable due to moderate voters in the suburbs and I think Haley is vulnerable due to single issue Israel policy voters

Not sure what to think of in the Michigan senate race, MM was the strongest candidate in my opinion

@ethanlculver As for his replacement, I think him trying to be a power broker just looks pitiful and desperate. The fact that he even ran for office, put his wife, staffers, and voters through all of this when he knew that stuff was out there disgusts me

I was sympathetic for a while because he did seem like a guy with a reckless/troubled past who’s gotten himself right, and that would be admirable. Unfortunately there was just too much. But it wasn’t Democrats falsely portraying him as a populist progressive. He has presented himself as a populist progressive, and that part is all fine and good. His replacement MUST be a progressive. Establishment Democrat politics are dead.

@ethanlculver I understand where you are coming from. I don’t think we should judge candidates harshly all the time based upon their past online presence, however his lack of accountability when it came to the tattoo stood out to me. This guy was always going to be an issue
