This is one of the reasons I shut down the 2 mini gas plants I had in Ife and relocated out of the country. One of it cost at least 4million to open as at 2021, btw.
I started when 1ton was 300k and sold at 350. But in less than 2 years, it hit 700k and I still couldn’t sell past 750 just so customers could still afford to buy.
That meant running capital had more than doubled but profit was still the same. That’s not a profitable business except you’re doing extremely great numbers at sales.
Imagine people still in the business today, they will buy for at least 1400 at the depot and can’t sell more than 1500. Some, like me, will even sell at 450 just to beat competition and do some quick sales… but, that only means your running capital has done 5x in about 5 years but your profit over each tonne still remains the same.

The thick white smoke coming out would cost ₦1.5 million to fix, including the head gasket. The turbocharger failure would cost nothing less than ₦1.2 million to ₦3 million. The air conditioning that is not working would cost ₦150,000 to ₦350,000. You will still need to replace or repair the compressor, which would cost around ₦80,000 to ₦200,000. The internal engine wear would cost ₦7 million to fix properly with a full engine swap. The seller is downplaying it like a joke, but I pity the person who will buy it. Fixing everything properly could cost more than the purchase price, and the resale value would still be low. In fact this guy should be arrested🤦🏾♂️😂

My landlady has been under the weather for five days now. On Saturday, on my way home, i branched the mall and got her beverages.
I took it to her when i got home to wish her quick recovery. This woman didn't collect it from me. She said her pastor told her not to collect gift from anyone at this moment.
I understood and didn't take it as an offence.
On getting home today, just few minutes after, this woman came knocking on my door. Guess what? She said i should give her the beverages she rejected on Saturday. She said I'm not part of those her pastor is warning her against. She confirmed from him yesterday.
I didn't give it to her o. I told her I've gifted it to someone else even though that's a lie.

I used to think my dad just had a weird habit.
Every night, no matter how late it was, he’d check if I was asleep. Like actually come into my room, stand there for a second, then leave.
I remember pretending to sleep sometimes just to see how long he’d stay. Sometimes he’d fix my blanket, sometimes he’d just sigh and walk out.
As I got older, I thought it was kinda annoying. Like… why are you still doing that?
One night I finally asked him.
He just shrugged and said, “Just checking.”
Years later, my mom told me the real reason.
When I was a baby, I got really sick out of nowhere. Stopped breathing in my sleep. They barely made it to the hospital in time.
After that, he never fully trusted “quiet.”
So every night, for years… he just needed to see my chest rise at least once before he could relax. 🥹
