Official Announcement Ayush Mhatre has been ruled out of the remainder of IPL 2026 due to a left hamstring injury sustained while batting during the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 18. Ayush's injury will require a rehabilitation period of 6-12 weeks. We wish Ayush a speedy recovery.

@internetumpire I know it sounds weird but Mhatre’s injury won’t affect us a lot. Urvil is a very similar player. Can send him to open or at 3 depending on if you want him to play spin. I’m just worried that batting looks a little thin considering short will be out. Need dhoni for a bowler maybe

Ayush Mhatre most probably out for 3 weeks is the best case scenario without getting ruled out. Now that he's out these guys have to get everything else right to even have a close match like yesterday for the next 3 weeks. Hopefully Urvil brings in similar impact.
