It also means any history of producing work on time, such as regular commissions or art trades. They also seem to be reliant on heavily referencing others, which is a no go for commission work.

@funskyhighRBX @sfawth Frankly, it's very disingenuous to hold a small social media fuck up as one of your big upsets, especially when other platforms (like Etsy) fuck over artists constantly and are filled with AI slop. Redirect your energy to where it matters.

@funskyhighRBX @sfawth I understand that artist is disappointed, but in the wide scheme of things...this is a very tiny thing and says nothing about VGen as a platform for selling art. People raise more hell about small disappointments from a small team than they uproar about large platforms' fuckery.

@sfawth And honestly, a majority of the problems on the site are things that they are 100% transparent about: they are a middle man not a processor, they take a sales percentage that is clearly laid out, and artists are vetted but anyone can be a bad actor, even established artists.

@sfawth 99% of users haven't had issues on the platform. It's just that negative voices are very loud. The staff is small, but dedicated, and it takes time to implement changes...but they still prioritize rolling out updates safety and transparency.

After reading the review left, I genuinely feel sorry for the artist. They didn't deserve the 1 star review. Everyone who wants things a specific way in the future, use this as a lesson, don't go for skeb artwork if you're going for something specific. Give skeb designers specifics of the vibes you're going for. On top of that, only give a 1 star review if the product is genuinely bad quality, rushed, the artist is incredibly rude/refused to cooperate, etc etc. I felt sorry for Kitsu originally but I don't anymore. I didn't even give one of my actual skebs a bad review when they drew an entirely different character because I signed up for SKEB.
