@turtlesprt @aurumz79 They had already paid another artist to make something and then disrespected them by putting it through AI. You think this is someone who is going to turn a new leaf and never use AI again? Be so for real.

@aurumz79 Not everyone can draw. Also, this person was willing to pay a real artist to make the thing that they want.

dont send AI refs to artists especially if generated specifically from someone else's art 😭 if they already had the VROID model then just send that as ref, most artists will work w that??????? whats the need to put it thru AI

This is why we can't go a day in the art community without drama.

-who wants to entirely stick to their guns on no AI just because you think one commission experience will stop someone from using AI in the future. You are welcome to set your own expectations for clients and disagree with someone else's. Insulting them, though, is shitty.

-destructive AI was when they first started using it and want to discontinue using it and work with artists, well at the same time not accepting poor etiquette from other clients who have no problem using AI most the time. What I find "insufferable" is shitting on an artist-

-first, you have no idea if they are going to take your WIPs and put them through AI to request changes. You aren't even guaranteeing that they will stop using AI just because they went and hired an artist once. Our empathy can go towards people who did not realize how-

Here's your nuance: I will not accept commissions if someone willingly put their ideas through AI first and have no remorse for it. If they just found references online that happen to be AI, whatever. If you accept a client who is willing to unapologetically use AI-

@megaratch -too complex or too detail because they don't know how to imply detail properly with these styles! You don't have to detail out every line of braids to imply braids, especially very small ones.

@megaratch I don't consider protective styles to land in anything more that detailed and I only charge extra for complex! The only way I'd consider them complex is if a lot of charms, clips, or other accessories were added. I think a lot of people treat protective styles as if they are-

@silverhwa1117 This very rarely happens to me, but I just cancel the proposal after a week of no response. Last time it happened I had even responded within like an hour with a thumbnail sketch idea for them 😔 it's okay if you have to say "oh shoot nevermind I can't" rather than just ghosting.

I don't know what exactly I did wrong and I'm sorry if I did! But pls don't do this to your artist especially after setting a date of payment,a price,deadline,a proposal... A message saying you are not interested anymore is more than enough and better than ghosting :)
