On Nov. 4, we filed an amicus brief urging the Court to consider scientific research that shows the intense pressure people often feel to comply with police searches—especially Black and unhoused individuals, who face even greater psychological stress in these encounters.

We are incredibly moved and grateful for the outpour of support from this event, and we will continue to fight for the rights and liberties of all North Carolinians. We are in this for the long haul and are thankful you're along for the ride.

We thank Natascha Fuchs and Inkvictus Studios for holding this thoughtful and meaningful community event and the more than 300 people who supported our mission and ongoing work to fight for a more just and equitable North Carolina.
