What a fantastic evening of music-making at tonight’s Lieder Recital! We were also treated to two lovely instrumental interludes 🎶 An evening full of artistry, collaboration, and musical storytelling… we couldn’t be prouder of everyone ⭐️🎶

Huge congratulations to Sophie, who has just completed a one-week residential course with the National Youth Choir of Scotland Girls’ Choir. An incredible opportunity to work with inspiring tutors, collaborate with like-minded young musicians, and build lasting friendships 🎶

Last Saturday, singers from across the North East (and beyond!) gathered at the beautiful Haddo House for a very special Come and Sing Day with none other than John Rutter CBE Our pupils had the rare privilege of singing Rutter’s music conducted by the man himself 🤩 🎶

Huge congratulations to Kai and Ruben at the Avril Bird Piping Competition in Dumbarton 👏 Ruben, new to the competition scene, a fantastic performance in the Under 14 March category 🌟 Kai, bringing his growing experience to the stage, impressed in both the MSR & the Jig 🎶🎶

Huge congratulations to Hugh and Alaina, who travelled to Edinburgh to the Youth Orchestra Ensembles Course at George Watson’s College 👏 An opportunity to work with passionate young musicians, expert tutors, & fantastic staff, building skills, confidence, and friendships 🎻🤝

Huge congratulations to Douglas, Isabel and Oliver, who had a brilliant time at the Inverurie Music String Ensemble Day, held at Kemnay Church Centre and led by the wonderful Dr Aaron McGregor A superb opportunity for our young musicians to learn, perform, and be inspired🎶

A busy weekend for vocalist Sophie winning the Classic Solo trophy at the Inverness Festival and then the Secondary Vocal section at the Burns Federation competition 🎶🎶

We were delighted to welcome brilliant bassist Mike Higgins to ACMS this week! 🎸✨ Mike spent time with our rhythm section exploring his journey as a professional bass player, his approach to learning and practising, and even the advice he would give his 14 year old self. 🎶🎶
