For Maternal Health Awareness Day 2025, @acog has chosen the theme: Know What’s at Stake. The maternal mortality crisis continues as attacks on reproductive health care persist. By knowing what’s at stake, we’re reminded we can’t afford to lose any more ground.

The maternal mortality rate in the U.S. is unacceptably high, especially among Black, Brown, and Native American women. On #MaternalHealthAwarenessDay, I will continue fighting for reproductive freedoms and to expand maternal healthcare initiatives in our communities.

On the 52nd anniversary of #RoevWade, ASRM is proud to join @acog and other providers in denouncing H.R. 21/S. 6, the medically inaccurate “Born-Alive” Bill, under which we would see health care providers criminalized and patients stripped of their right to reproductive control.
