Nothing annoys me more than the embellishment rule. If there’s a penalty, there’s no embellishment. If there’s no penalty and a guy tries to sell a call, call the embellishment and nothing else. Am I crazy?

@SmokesIndoors Yes, he can review/change it but it was an NHL official who asked him "are you sure this is right?" just before puck drop. That's quite a courtesy!

@Steve_Dangle It's a major penalty if that happens against 31 teams in this league. But not for the Leafs, especially after a review because they don't want to seem biased. That's the explanation and I'm tired of people pretending it's anything but that.

Brought this up on the podcast so I know I'm screaming at a wall: That Whitecloud hit isn't a penalty? Sure would love to know exactly why. Make a video explaining why it's clean. Educate the fans! Let us learn! The effort to do this like once a week is minimal. They just won't.
