The most successful team in England in the last ten years and there were 10,000 empty Man City seats at Wembley. And that’s after they gave some to Southampton! Embarrassing. #MNCSOT

Flying from Manchester to Newcastle should be a criminal offence

@acschofield15 So you've said, got memory problems too? I'm all for public prayer/preaching whatever you want actually. What I'm not for is the hypocrisy that not all prayer/religion is equal. Really hope the next star player is an Orthodox Jew who can't do Sat aft games, what'll the PL do?🤔😏

Jonathan Edwards, a devout Christian at the time, refused for religious reasons to compete on Sundays. He made no demands on athletic authorities. He sat out Sunday events, missed out on medals. He did not impose his religion on others. We now have Ramadan breaks in our football.

@acschofield15 @QcWynter Facts re Ramadan fasting are boring when they don't suit you?🙄 Yes,there is a 'performance' to blessing yourself etc in sport-but it doesn't involve the whole game being stopped. The whole thing is so ironic in a country that has made silent prayer illegal in some UK streets 😏

@Jayne70302874 @QcWynter 😴 you are boring me now, a Christian player dropped to his knees last night at the end of the game and said a prayer. Is that a performance too. I would say no it isn’t it’s someone following their beliefs not giving a performance, just like taking a few sips of water.

@acschofield15 @QcWynter It's pure performance. The rules of Islam even allow you to skip fasting if there's an issue with work/travel & you make it up after Ramadan. So players could miss a day when they have a match. But then nobody would see them & they& their religion would get no attention 🙄😏

@Jayne70302874 @QcWynter The game was stopped for a minute, last night the game was stopped for players pretending to be injured to waste time. I don’t hear you or anyone else crying about that. It was a drink of water.

@acschofield15 @QcWynter Eh? The entire game was stopped. Thousands of fans in the stands. It's entirely performative, 'look at us'. There are exemptions in their rules,I lived in S Arabia for 5yrs & know that for a fact. The giant screen even said the stoppage was for the 'Holy month of Ramadan'🤔😬

@realrikkidoolan I really don’t think the whole world stopped yesterday at 5.42pm when three men playing football broke their fast for 60 seconds at most. No advantage gained by any team and no disadvantage either.

Omg.... Once we accommodate Muslim traditions like this into our cultural infrastructure, there will never be any going back. It's as though the decision-makers WANT to cause national division. Weak leadership creates uncertainty and fear. Fear creates anger. Anger creates violence. Where are the bloody adults?
GB Politics@GBPolitcs

🚨NEW: There was loud boos and whistles when the Leeds vs Man City game was paused to allow Muslim players to break their fast for Ramadan [@Daily_Express]

Surprised to see Dias stretching out in training yesterday given he’s supposed to be out with a hamstring injury for 4-6 weeks 🤷‍♂️

Today, I had to travel 6 HOURS just to get a dentist appointment. But if you come into the UK ILLEGALLY, don't pay any tax, don't make any NI contributions, you get 24/7 access for FREE. This country is a joke. It rewards those who provide nothing.

@Eltel1060 @mcfc9320group We lost a game that’s it, yes they didn’t have the best game but they are all young kids, they will learn from the mistakes that’s it. They don’t need 60 year supporters criticising them no one is delusional, last week we were winning the treble. Who were the happy clappers then
