These graphs provide a stark reminder of why babies need health visitors. The rate of non-accidental injuries in babies & young children is unacceptable- we must do better to protect them & support their families through early intervention. Sadly for these babies it is too late😢
Damian Roland@Damian_Roland

It’s a sad fact Non-Accidental Injury makes up a significant proportion of major trauma to under one year olds. tarn.ac.uk/Content.aspx?c… noca.ie/documents/majo… HT @TARNaudit

I’ve signed the @NSPCC petition urging UK governments to provide better mental health support for families and their babies. It’s crucial no parent or baby is left behind during the pandemic and beyond. Join me to make sure every family has a #FairStart: bit.ly/3qUDmKM

We were disappointed that today's budget said nothing about the support babies & families need to recover from the pandemic & to thrive. Local budgets are squeezed and need is increasing. Without investment babies will miss out on the care they need to get the best start in life.

Survey published by @forbabyssake 40% of parents who experienced domestic abuse said it occurred during pregnancy & before babies reach age 2. DVA causes harm to babies & young children who are often invisible to services- another reason to strengthen universal health visiting
The For Baby's Sake Trust@forbabyssake

Tune in @LBCNews at 8.40 to hear our Director of Operations, Judith talking about our survey of parents published today. Survey raise's awareness of the scale of domestic abuse amongst expectant and new parents. There is help. #forbabyssake

Analysis by @LittleVillageHQ shows that households with a child under 3 face the highest risk of poverty. Poverty is one factor that makes it harder for parents to offer the responsive care babies need. We can't afford a #BabyBlindsopt in the next #Budget. bit.ly/1001Infog
