Southend City Council have launched a new campaign called 'Our Southend. Live here. Love here.' It aims to celebrate everything that gives the city its character, from seagull jokes to the Pier’s record length. It highlights recent city successes, encourages civic pride and points residents to new volunteering opportunities across the city. Council leader Daniel Cowan says the campaign reflects the city’s humour and deep local pride, while calling on residents to make the most of Southend from the seafront to Leigh on Sea.
