Anyways I agree with you, and I truly believe that for commissions - speedpaint is a must have, clients deserve honesty
Thankfully there are many good artist who draw in anime style!

As an artist it is our duty to give the commissioner what they desire.
Being rude, not communicating what they are uncomfortable with, and if there is AI clearly in their work, it's not a good look.
But I will say this, whatever work is done, (not by AI mind) it should be stated in their own rules that the artist keeps part of the money they have worked for.
However regarding this case, a full refund is in order.
If you see this, please reflect and offer an apology.

I am not a professional, but honestly, at the sketch stage it seems already sus, cuz it's too clean and neat, no guidelines, nothing :< Atleast for me
Anyways, I truly hope nothing similar ever happens to you! If you ever want to commission anime-like artstyle again, I would recommend you that artist - @/neverwho_art, I don't know if she's taking commissions now, but she did before, and her works are incredible! And not AI as far as far as I can tell :'D

@actuallyvaleri Thank you :,) I asked for a speedpaint too just to settle my suspicions and found myself blocked instead...which is to say nothing of the rest of the experience. I appreciate the condolences though, just happy others are able to speak up now too :,)
