I’m actually shocked a day Nigerian men would try to decide to take the side of an errant police officer will come. He responded to my question on Ozoro with a sexual remark. Some of you are now citing dictionary entries for “turn on” in an attempt to shut down my voice because I am a woman in this case? He purposely chose the phrase to sexualize me. It’s not the first time he is harassing me on Twitter. There was a discussion of sexual violence and he responded with sexual insinuation. What is the operational need for sexual language in a police response? Why do Nigerians like normalizing misconduct?

Dear @PoliceNG @PoliceNG_CRU This response breaches the Nigeria Police Code of Conduct, which requires officers to be “courteous, polite and respectful” in dealing with the public. Using suggestive, sexually inappropriate language toward a citizen is unprofessional, disrespectful, and has no place in official communication. A police spokesperson who behaves this way undermines public trust and damages the integrity of the force. If basic standards of respect and discipline cannot be upheld, then he is unfit for the role and should be removed. Dear Uncle Tunde Disu we believe in you. Do something.

Kenny Dalglish, the Liverpool legend won the league as a manager in 1994-95 with Blackburn Rovers. Roberto Mancini had a brief loan spell at Leicester City in 2001, where he made 4 Premier League appearances before retiring. He led Manchester City to their first-ever Premier League title in the 2011–12 season. This was the famous season that ended with Sergio Aguero's last-minute goal against QPR.

@ArcSadam Very poor storyline... How can you arraign someone who's not okay in court? Police can not be that dumb and the court won't allow it

Police arrested a robber who slept off at a victims house, he slept till death in Ondo. Apparently, his gang went to rob a pharmacy in Owo. As they were about to leave, two hijacked a customers Bajaj bike and left. The third guy, tried using their own getaway bike, but he tripped, fell to the ground and mysteriously fell into deep sleep. Passersby rushed to apprehend him but found out he was in deep deep sleep. Police arrived, tried to wake him, no success. Recovered his guns. Then found 400MG of tramadol in his pockets. Apparently he had taken overdose. They took him to the station — he was still sleeping. They arraigned him in court — he was still sleeping. On the 9th day, he died. Apparently they wanted to kidnap the pharmacy owner, luckily he fled through the back.

@Femzydr1 So, the NDLEA seized drugs in a particular area, and later sold it back to someone selling in the same area. Does it make sense to you at all?

In 2021, NDLEA raided and busted a drvg dealer in Gwagwalada Abuja, seized all his drvgs, arrested him and everyone found in his bunk, The dealer was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment, But One of his delivery boys who had already gone out that day to supply his customers wasn’t caught, After the bust, no drugs were available in the area anymore, few days later The former delivery boy, who is now stranded without supply, noticed the same type of drvg had suddenly appeared back in circulation at a cheaper rate, He thought maybe another dealer had arrived to based in the city who Supplied drugs to another local area boy, to start selling for him, with a reduced price, When he tracked down the new seller, he discovered it was being supplied by the same NDLEA officer who had arrested his boss and taken the drvgs, they are the one reselling it back to the Area People.

Omo, in 2022, my life turned upside down. I had piled up over ₦10 million in debt on japa process while earning just ₦85,000 monthly. The pressure came from loan apps with crazy interest rates and a few individuals I owed (about 4–5 people). Threats started rolling in, my mental health crashed, and I did everything to hide it from my parents for almost two years. I had suicidal thoughts, but i just couldn’t because of my Maale love ❤️ Then one day after work, police picked me up. I spent two nights in custody, one of the creditors had finally run out of patience. That was the breaking point. When my parents found out, the shame almost finished me. I felt like God should kpai me instead of facing them. But my mum, hmm she stepped in like an angel. She took every kobo she had saved and few of her old Gold jewelries, over ₦2 million meant for completing her two building projects and paid to reduce the heat. That single act broke something inside me, but in a good way. It gave me breathing space. After that, my salary increased to ₦150,000. I committed to paying back ₦100,000 every month without fail, and I kept at it until early 2025. The road was brutal! discipline, sacrifice, many “no” to things I wanted, i sold my TV and 🏍️ but I refused to let my mum’s sacrifice go to waste. My mother became my biggest reason to keep pushing. Honestly, if not for her love, her belief in me, and the thought of not disappointing her again, I might not be here today. She’s the quiet strength that pulled me out of the darkest place I’ve ever been. Today I’m still healing, still paying, still building but I’m no longer running from my story. I’m walking through it because of her. Ya Allah! For the sake of this Holy Month of Ramadan, grant me massive blessings so as to give my dad and mum Hajj and Umrah and every single goodies they yearn for😔😭🤲

In 2018, I lost my job in Lagos. Hid it from family for 4 months. Every morning, dressed up, carried a laptop bag, and left the house like normal. Sat in a buka in Yaba with free Wi-Fi applying endlessly. One day, my dad called me aside. “I know you lost your job.” I froze. He said, “I didn’t want to shame you. A man feels small when he can’t provide.” Then he gave me ₦20k from pension, with his arthritis bills piling up. “Hold yourself. Don’t tell your mother.” I cried that night. Not for money. But for the quiet love protecting my pride. Two months later, a better job came. Now I pay all his bills. That ₦20k wasn’t cash. It was belief. And belief changes everything. Do you have moments when your parents stood by you?

There are opportunities you use them for apart from asking them for money. Examples: 1. A bank chairman bought 5 houses from me for his management staff 2. I have invited a number of them for my webinars to talk to my mentees (indirect benefit to the people) 3. A SAN needed one of them to chair the wedding of his daughter, he used me for introduction 4. One of them wrote the foreword to one of my books (added credibility) 5. Introductions and “calls” 6. Emotional support (one of them was on call with my family till 2am midnight settling issue 😊 - hopefully no cries here again today 😊) 7. Many of them see what we do here and don’t talk but call to privately advise or support. One saw my retweet here soliciting for financial support for a child with health issue and privately contacted me and paid the N10m hospital bill These are examples of ways you use people older, richer and far more successful than you. Directly asking for money is a turnoff for many of them. Although some listen to investment pitches. But I have never pitched investment to any and they don’t come to my mind for that. I prefer to talk to peers in such matters.

@SirJarus Now let me get this straight, what exactly is the use of this contacts sometimes ? Cause u can’t ask them for money, u can’t be too forward and ask for opportunities, u just keep the relationship but never really approach with your problems make dem no see u less?
