Yesterday after church, I witnessed something I don’t think I’ll forget anytime soon.
A bikeman drove into a filling station to buy fuel, but this man already suspected something was off. He intentionally let his fuel finish before entering, just to confirm.
He got to the pump, paid, and the attendant started selling but the meter wasn’t even reading properly. Oga didn’t say a word.
Immediately they finished, this man calmly brought out an empty water bottle from his bag, opened his tank, and poured everything inside into it.
Guys… nothing came out. Na air dem blow inside that machine 😭No fuel, no smell, nothing.
That was when everywhere scattered. The man caused a serious scene, shouting and exposing them. People that were already waiting to buy fuel just jejely turned back and left.
Apparently, this wasn’t even their first time doing it. He said anytime he buys from that station, the fuel doesn’t last 3–5 minutes before his bike stops.
This time, he came prepared.
Honestly, this thing shook me. Imagine struggling for money, only to pay for air.
Na we dey do ourselves 💔
@ad83374@ope_banky Some time ago my street neighbor was asking me why I'm fond of using keg to buy fuel then turning it into my car... lol... you don't know the heart of an average Nigerian... "very dark"
@ad83374 A clear illustration of trust is dead in this country. Everyone is forming smart at the expense of the next person. From top to bottom, both religious Nigerians wan cheat the other person.
I didn’t say the machine was designed to dispense air. I said what I witnessed didn’t match what should normally happen. Something was clearly wrong, and the result was no fuel. That’s the point.
Whether you call it “air”, “faulty meter” or “adjustment”, the man paid and his tank was empty after. That’s the real issue, not semantics.
@ad83374 Aunty PMS meter doesn't dispense airand saying the meter wasn't "reading properly" is a lie. When meter don't read when dispensing its actually the fuel station that looses money, not the customer.
@ad83374 You are lying through your teeth. First of all, how the you mean the meter wasn't reading properly?
The meter is designed to read pms not air. No meter dispenses air, if you say the meter was adjusted i will believe your story but saying they blew air into the machine is a lie.
