@JaromirTesar IOGs should not claim funds from the treasury as long as they have funds from the initial coin distribution.
English

@matiwinnetou These are all silly excuses, there is C1 milkomeda as a temporary/permanent solution until other solutions are realized. Chain Base will not solve their problems, it will add new problems.

At Cardano Fans we tell you tel truth, not as you wish to hear, not as everybody else tells you but as it is.
World Mobile on Cardano is primarly a fiasco not of IOG per see or CF or Emurgo.
It is a fiasco of ecosystem as whole not ready for this player, also lack of global state does not help in smart contracts
Should we have Midgard L2 or actually even Hydra with full features that are needed for them or what they requested a partner chain maybe they would stay.
If we had more liquidity that would help as well.
So why Base?
It's very simple, since it is L3, it is super fast and super scalable (albeit at the expense of security big time). On top since coinbase is behind it, they can trust that "liquidity" will be provided.
We could have avoided it if we were more prepared:
1/ L2 available and production ready like Midgard, CC: @midgardprotocol (including wallet support)
2/ More liquidity, e.g. from capital deployed from the treasury and fund market makers / liquidity providers in decentralised manner (CC: @melonaire)
3/ Partner chains actually ready with trustless bridge based on e.g. BLS-12 381 which was shipped as part of Plutus V3, especially partner chain could have a different VM (CosmosVM or Move or any other one)!
CC: @InputOutputHK
All those things could be possible with the right timing.
Today is 25-03-2025 and neither of those 3 things above are available on Cardano in the production grade quality. They are all being worked on but not ready today (fact).
Istead we keep havintg IOG vs CF wars, who ships first Amaru or Blinkllabs node and Net Change Limit and Budgets discussions. They re also needed but neither of them keeps real customers around here.
Complete change of focus is needed, more peace and working together, less stupid and childwish wars.

@TheOCcryptobro @cardano_whale @IOHK_Charles Has the IO already run out of funds from the initial coin distribution?
English

#Cardano fam, great stuff, don’t overlook this. This number is funding Leios (Input Endorsers, throughput) & Peras (fast finality) among other things. This is a CRITICAL expense for the community and a MUST HAVE. Repost and get this out. I’m 100% for this line item. $ADA

3. Technical Steering Committee
Arguably the most important budget.
I mean its pretty clear that a lot of stuff in here is coming from IOHK, which is totally cool & I fully support them continuing to be the main developer/researcher of Cardano.
The budget is pretty comprehensive and I'd say most of the points are valid & things that should be done.
There are a few projects under "Non-Roadmap Development" and "Research" that I do not agree with.
- For example, I'm very critical of everything concerning Partnerchains, simply because Partnerchains. If the proposal actually makes sense for Cardano, sure but we must highly avoid funding any development of other L1s with the Cardano Budget imo.
- One other big issue I see is "Core Maintenance".
Why are we paying over 1 million to Core Maintenance? At first I thought this includes some development as well but its really just maintenance.
Also, there's an item in there asking for 10million USD for already done work to the IO team.
Why do we have to pay for this, if the roadmap was not fully completed yet? Afaik the "contract" between IO and the Community was not bound to any dates but to milestones. And there were certain milestones that are not done until at least the hardfork. Basho is also not really completed but thats another topic...
Summary
Overall, even though there are some things in here that I think are too expensive (Core Maintenance) and I don't think we should have to pay 10 million for past maintenance, I still think this budget should go through.
I give Charles and IO the benefit of the doubt here and I think its in our best interest as the community to not piss them off too much as well.

Okay some thoughts about the proposed Intersect Cardano Roadmap:
1. The general budget
Three things stand out to me here.
First, the Membership & Community budget is higher than expected but thats just because Catalyst is under this as well.
Secondly, Intersect fees seem high and are probably the biggest optimization point.
Overall, the general ranking of how much budgets each bucket is receiving seems fine overall but lets get into it one by one.
Thirdly, I think the $0.5 ADA rate is honestly a bit too low & I believe we should be conservative with the ADA rate and instead, if ADA drops radically allow for additional budget withdrawals or work stops.

@SpectrumLabs_ There is no point in making new offers if there are problems with current affairs. I noticed that 90% of exchange transactions on Spectrum DEX on Cardano are performed by a few batchers, the rest get crumbs from the table. Or I don't understand something?

Let the Catalyst begin!
We are here to push Cardano to the top 1🥇. But with the current state of DeFi, it is not possible. We aim to solve all the major problems by introducing two open frameworks that can be onboarded and integrated by any dApp team.
The problem is that we are not ready for the bull. Here are 4 points:
- Low throughput. How do you feel waiting for your market order execution for more than 30 seconds?
- Opaque closed so-called batching systems and an MEV problem associated with them. Are you sure they don’t frontrun you?
- Tremendously high fees. Especially through aggregators like @DexHunterIO or @AdaMarkets. When ADA is $20 will you still pay 2-3 ADA fees for an order?
- Liquidity segmentation → 0 composability → very low capital efficiency. So Cardano allows us to combine different liquidity sources to get the best possible prices for a minimal fee, but we build borders just coz of competition. Maybe let’s finally unleash the potential of UTxO?
Let’s solve them all!
The first framework is here to significantly reduce fees, spike the throughput, and add the foundations for composability and automation. Got nothing? That’s ok, just stay with us. Current so-called batching systems require 2 on-chain transactions per 1 order. But we have shifted the order placement off-chain reducing this to one on-chain transaction. This is the point where the throughput and fees bottlenecks start to dilate. Moreover, the framework includes the concept of an Autonomous Account (AA) that opens the door to composability and automation (e.g. automated liquidity provision strategies) come to the table. AA concept is very close to a deposit on a centralized exchange, but without transferring the custody of your funds.

The second framework is here to defend you from MEV and aggregate any liquidity sources together to get the best possible price. All liquidity available on the market (AMM, market\limit orders, programmable orders etc.) can be projected into a 3-dimensional space: Price, Volume, and Time. Thus matchmaking logic for all types of liquidity can be described with a universal set of rules. Since the rules are universal, all liquidity sources can be combined to reach the best output for the end user!
The quality of execution is trackable by a certain number of parameters for anyone. So you can identify unfair players and kick them off. The total openness of the system acts as a guarantee of protection against MEV.

Vote for our proposal to make these two innovations to reality and push Cardano DeFi to the next level!

@SpectrumLabs_ I noticed that 90% of exchange transactions on Spectrum DEX on Cardano are performed by a few batchers, the rest get crumbs from the table. I hope this is the first step towards decentralization of exchange or I don't understand something? Please clarify.
English

@DjedStablecoin I hope this is not a problem in the synchronization on "cardano-db-sync" and we will not wait 2 weeks for synchronization.
English

$DJED's user interface is under maintenance and cannot be accessed at the moment. The smart contract however, is fully functioning. Users can still access the contract to perform transactions of DJED & SHEN until djed.xyz is up again.
Thank you for your patience.

English

@relentless_pwn @rickmccracken Incorrect data on the site causes investors to make bad decisions. This is irresponsible. Maintenance mode could help.
English

@rickmccracken likely node issues, meaning peg on dexes might go off a little. just hope people are aware.
Noticed that wallet balance is off as well.
