Canadian Pacific Railroad has detected a rail defect at the CSAH 6 railroad crossing, southeast of Annandale. To correct the defect the railroad is closing the crossing for the day, Tuesday, April 30th. There is not a posted detour, please use alternate routes.

MnDot and the Minnesota State Patrol have opened all lanes I-94 between Clearwater and St. Augusta. Both directions of the road were closed earlier today due to multiple crashes. Driving conditions remain hazardous in much of central Minnesota. Motorists should avoid travel.

County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 35 west of Buffalo (just east of Elder Avenue SW in Marysville Township) has been closed due to water on the Roadway. There is no detour, and when the water recedes and the roadway is open again, a notice will be posted on Wright County website.

Motorists on Highway 55 between Annandale and Buffalo may encounter delays as segments of the road are reduced to a single lane during non-rush hours beginning Monday, March 18. The lane closures will occur during daytime hours, and will be complete by 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 19

Due to the impending weather we have made the decision to close down the Nature Center at Ney Park this weekend and cancel the Buckthorn Hiking Sticks program scheduled for this Saturday. Trails will not be groomed until Monday due to the timing of the storm.

The Annandale boys basketball Section 6-2A quarterfinal game scheduled for Saturday has been postponed due to the approaching winter storm. The game vs. St. Cloud Cathedral will be played at 3:30 p.m. Monday at St. John's University.

The Annandale girls basketball team advanced to the Section 5-2A championship with a 69-65 win over Maranatha Christian on Tuesday in St. Michael. The No. 2 seed Cardinals (22-6) will face No. 1 seed Holy Family Catholic (22-5) at 6 p.m. Friday at SCSU's Halenbeck Hall.
