When looking at only players who had a wOBA >= 0.350 in the 2025 season (looking at "elite" hitters), Fernando has the 5th largest underperformance between wOBA and xwOBA so far this season (per my model, 8th per Baseball Savant). Expect him to turn it around. #ForTheFaithful

It is still early in the season, but Fernando Tatís Jr.'s performance at the plate has been concerning to a lot of San Diego fans. It is worth noting however, that his underlying numbers suggest that is has been extremely unfortunate

Backing up a point recently brought up on @ratesandbarrels about having an A bullpen and a B bullpen. Of course Miller will take the high leverage innings with Suarez gone, but who will take that 4th/5th high leverage spot at least until Adam's return

Looking at the leverage index of Padres relievers in last year and how they are starting this season. It will be interesting to see if Estrada can keep his high leverage spot, almost matching Morejon in 2025 #ForTheFaithful Can't take anything from sample, but will update weekly

Does the Cork Hurling puckout strategy need a revamp? They were praised massively for their restarts last year, but since Shane Barrett’s red card in the first round they have struggled to find success Tipp game was not included they played against 14 men the entire game
