I have just made two perfect grilled cheese sandwiches. That’s it — it may be morning, but I’d better just go back to bed and end this day on a high note.

The kids are playing “Am I singing a Final Fantasy song, or a melody I made up?” Each time, the winner exults like he’s just beaten a video game enemy. Love it! 🎶

@PickyBookworm Sounds more like “Writer’s Nook.” I’m thinking the other smells like eraser shavings, torn paper and wall paint.

My husband and I were talking the other day, and I mentioned I want to make a candle named "writer's block." The scent, if I can find it, will be coffee, Irish cream, and cinnamon. What do you think?

@adamgentry That's pretty sweet coming up with a game system at a young age. I worked for years on mine, and I didn't start until I was in my late 20's. Good luck to him.

I introduced the boys to tabletop roleplaying games, and youngest was hooked. First we played the games together. Then he became the gamemaster for a group of online friends. Then he started creating his own system. It’s now 40 pages and counting. Version 2 is expected in 2023.

Should I be verified? ✓ I’ve spent years garnering real followers, keeping up with many of them and their stories. ✓ I’m the most famous of my name on the platform. ✓ I’ve been on here longer than Elon. But yeah, throw those blue checks at the celebrity imposters.

When I went to the doctor this week, the patient’s room didn’t have the usual table to sit on. Instead, it featured a huge seat that would have looked at home on a starship as the captain’s chair! So even though I still felt crummy, that brightened my day a bit. 🚀

@Dewiwrites I was there in the ancient times, as well. And I’m still miffed that they replaced my carefully curated favorites with those scattershot hearts.

This whole argument over the verified tick reminds me of the twitter arguments of old. Remember when we went from 240 to 480 character tweets? Or when 'favourites ⭐️' became 'likes ❤️'? Or when profile pics changed from squares to circles?? I've been on this site far too long 😂

Got a loop thrown in my brain today when a coworker introduced the term “Shaving the yak” to our team. I asked, “like the shaven yak from Ren and Stimpy?” And confusion set in. A quick Google confirmed, yes it’s from Ren and Stimpy. No one else on my team had ever heard of it.

@adamgentry Oh, man, I loved this game. Sooooo many hours lost in this wonderful world. I still watch competitive WC2 matches online sometimes, ha ha.

Wow. I remember when they changed favorites to likes. So your special set of bookmarks turned into throwing hearts everywhere. Now, instead of “Let’s change this thing we have to something new!” it’s “Let’s duplicate this thing we already have because… we like visual clutter?”

Sickness is annoying. Brain: Okay, so we’re stuck in bed. But at least we can try to get something accomplished — read a book, practice some coding… Body: Cool ideas, man, but I’d rather just sit and stare at my blanket for an hour or two.
