I do not support the Afghan government’s decision to reopen border crossings for transit and trade with Pakistan. In my view, Afghanistan should suspend transit and trade relations until outstanding political, security, and economic issues between the two countries are adequately addressed. Border should not be opened until Pakistan treat our Afghans with dignity and respect.
