I was lucky to see an early screening of Project Hail Mary yesterday. What a beautiful, funny, exhilarating adaptation. Simultaneously huge and intimate, a buddy movie about the power of connection. Congrats @philiplord @chrizmillr @adityasood and whole team on making a classic.

Fun fact, @philiplord was trying to remember what word he made Joe Flaherty say over and over again today on set.

RIP Joe Flaherty, comedy god. That day in the studio recording him is still one of the funniest, weirdest things I've ever witnessed. Here's what I wrote about it back then:

This is so sad. Mark and I developed a movie together at Laika. So talented, so clever, so dry, so passionate, always pushing for every moment to be more surprising. He leaves a legacy of brilliant stop-motion, from Fantastic Mr Fox, to the California Raisins, to Pinocchio.
