Jordan Spieth closes in 70. Currently T-18. That means 336 days since his last top-10 at Memorial. Winless in 4 years. 4 for 12 in sand saves and 69th & 67th in SG: Tee to Green on the weekend rounds. Said that he's inching closer to where he wants to be. PGA in 2 weeks perhaps?

Justin Leonard & Stewart Cink, who both were passed over for the captain job, named vice captains for ‘27 US Ryder Cup team by Jim Furyk. Sets them up to potentially be in the captain pipeline for ‘29 and beyond (I guess). Both bring a ton of Ryder Cup experience and smart dudes.

Panther National has a very cool practice facility that is a reason a lot of local pros like to go there. Here’s a photo of a fairway set to US Open width and some of the target greens that Lexi Thompson was working on while I was there Friday.

@AdamSchupak Have you been to the "new" (now 15+year old) stadium? It's awesome -- great brick facade, amazing sight lines, and tge seats are super close to the field.

During college, I was PA announcer/ PBP for the Winston-Salem Warthogs. My all-time favorite name in sports was an OF Wonderful Terrific Monds III. Fast-forward and last night I see a headline on ESPN: “Monds signs with Notre Dame.”Could it be? Indeed it is. Wonderful Terrifc IV!

A new (and yet so familiar) addition to the iconic closing hole at Pebble Beach Golf Links. A second cypress tree has been planted, restoring the hole to it's original design intent and reinstating the signature look golf fans had come to know until the original was lost in a 2014 storm. 30 yards nearer the green than the other, the tree sits in the exact location of its predecessor and was transported down the road from Spyglass Hill's 17th hole.
