After signing a 12-month confidentiality agreement, I am finally able to share this story. It was a year ago today that I was at the Ottawa Civic Hospital to participate in a stem cell donation 1/3

Jacob was a wonderful son, brother, teammate and friend. My family has had the privilege of being a part of his life. His character and heart, immeasurable. His talent and leadership made every team he played on, at every level, better. Rest Cobs. You fought a helluva fight.

@GeneralsUpdates That is not a new rule. It is something that Jr. A/NCAA eligible players have been accustomed to for a long time. Perhaps new in the sense that OHL players now have to be mindful to maintain NCAA eligibility.

24-year-old Sudarshan Yellamaraju, who learned to play golf via YouTube, has an outside chance at @THEPLAYERS title in his tournament debut. Who is he? Yellamaraju was born in India and moved with his family to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada as a pre-schooler, where he first started hitting range balls with his dad at a local golf dome. Yellamaraju was fascinated by the game and began watching YouTube videos and golf on TV with his dad, Suresh. As he became serious about improving as a golfer, he began analyzing videos of Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy to develop his own ball-striking. When he was 11, Yellamaraju moved to the Toronto area with his family. He was a late bloomer and wasn't a sought-after college golf recruit, ultimately choosing to eschew college golf and turn pro at age 19 after a gap year. Yellamaraju earned his 2024 @KornFerryTour card via Q-School. After narrowly keeping conditional status as a rookie, he won the second event of the 2025 season and ultimately earned his first @PGATOUR card at No. 19 on the #KornFerryTour Points List, sweating out the bubble on the season's final day. Now in his seventh start as a PGA TOUR member, he's thriving at TPC Sawgrass.

Our team. Our milestone. Our mission. Waabi's $1B fundraise displayed at the Toronto Stock Exchange in downtown Toronto — a testament to the incredible momentum behind Physical AI and what becomes possible when one AI brain scales across multiple applications, geographies, and environments. Grateful to everyone who believed in and made this possible — our team, investors, partners, and customers. Physical AI's moment is here, and we're advancing it together.

Year round single sport specialization benefits the adults who can make money off of it at the expense of the child’s development.
maurice pearl@mpearl88

@JJWatt But all of these "high level" teams are now requiring year round participation, or the cost of playing the sport is too high to do anything else. At the same time, rec leagues are dying I do completely agree with you tho, I see it daily. Those generalist are healthier and better

Random thought. Given the Sleeman Centre connection, wouldn't it be cool to see the Guelph Storm get permission to have a special jersey night featuring a Heated Rivalry jersey - Montreal Metros or Boston Raiders - then auction them off with proceeds going to Pride groups?

Minor hockey in Canada can share the blame too. Kids between ages 10-16 Chase W’s and build super teams, while training with numerous skills coaches to improve their individual game instead of focusing on being coached and developing to play the game of hockey. Players on super teams don’t know how to lose and then struggle to deal with adversity. I see it first hand and it’s very troubling
