@_CAMPE0N Very heartless actually- my point is, A lot of students can write their projects, but the system doesn’t always allow that to play out smoothly. Some supervisors turn it into a power game, so students adjust just to avoid damaging their mental health

@adaobiVA i think yours is different, your supervisor is just wicked or maybe heartless.

So when people say “if you can’t write your BSc project yourself, you’re not worthy of a certificate,” I just shake my head because you clearly haven’t experienced some supervisors. I actually wanted to write mine myself. I DID write mine myself—from chapter 1 to 3. The topic was given to me by my HOD, and every time I finished a chapter, I would go to her for confirmation. I would even buy her food just so she could go through it. Chapter 1, she checked. Chapter 2, same thing. I would come to her office as early as 3pm, and she’d send me on errands back and forth. I’d buy her lunch again, wait for hours, and then she’d say she was tired and tell me to come back the next day. This kept happening. I started asking colleagues what was going on. I even said, if it’s money she wants, I can give her. Not because I couldn’t do the work, but because I just wanted to finish what I started properly and be able to defend it confidently. Then she traveled and never picked my calls and texts on WhatsApp. When she came back, I went straight to her office and told her I was already behind. She looked at my work from chapters 1 to 3 and she started shouting that wasn’t the topic she gave me. I showed her the corrections she had made herself. She refused to agree. From there, she kept frustrating me until I told her, “Ma, this is Tuesday. My defense is Friday. What am I supposed to do?” She started shouting and told me to get out. I missed my defense because she refused to approve my work. I had to go and meet other lecturers and they took me to her professor that finally helped me to beg her. They told me to bring ₦20,000 to appease her. I paid it. (ATP eh , I was crying every night). After that, I was still following her around, asking what next, and she said if I wanted help, I should bring ₦150,000. I held this woman’s bag from the staff room to the bus stop begging her that it was too much o I did everything. She still made sure I paid every dime before she finally signed my paper on the day I was to defend. And the funny thing? When I finally presented, the external examiner asked me who gave me the topic and even questioned the topic itself. So no, it’s not that people can’t write their projects. Some people are just trying not to run mad in a system that is designed to frustrate them.

My car was stolen and recovered by the CP crack squad IKEJA, and after I was asked to pay #400000 to the tracker agent the claimed to use, they sold my RS 350 Jeep! I have written petition to your office and till now nothing has been done,I have video prove and conversation prove as well and the police officers involved.
