I’ve said before that the fortnight is the perfect unit of measurement for time. In temperate climes, there are differences in weather, foliage, food, and holiday decorations every 2 weeks or so. A vibe change We should have 26 fortnights instead of 4 seasons or 12 months.





Wassailing the apple trees traditionally occurs on Old Twelfth Night, 17 Jan. The Queen of the #Wassail (good health) offers the trees in the orchards cider-soaked bread. She then knocks on the trunk of the oldest tree to awaken the Apple Tree Man, the fertility spirit within.















What would our summers look like if we remained on standard time? If we eliminate the "advancing the clocks 1 hour" in March, then this is what June will look like with sunrise and sunsets.
