No regrets on my transition though. Hospital was unrelated to the big news.

Exactly 1 year on HRT. And it's my first day home after forcibly discharged from hospital so doctors don't get in trouble -_-

Why is it that every time I'm in hospital I become super super homesick for Aotearoa 😰😰😰

Today is my one year anniversary of starting HRT and coming out. It's been a rough year but transition has been helping. The physical changes are slower than I'd like but I feel better than I have in a long time. I'm finally making progress to being comfortable in my own body.

Transitioning is like setting sail under a moody captain, only to lead a mutiny midway through the voyage. I am the captain now, but somebody else stocked the food and set the course. It's now my task to cut the dead weight loose, and choose a new destination.

I studied really hard for my gender test but I got an F anyway
