trend prediction: molokhia is going to enter the western consciousness and become thee newest superfood (as did oxtail, matcha, etc.). the gut health benefits are just too good. it’s super rich in soluble + insoluble fibre including mucilaginous polysaccharides which are ultra-calming for the gut barrier and feed beneficial bacteria, similar to slippery elm and aloe vera. it’s also packed with polyphenols, magnesium and quercetin. the nectar of the ancient egyptian gods imo.

There is pretty clearly a massive coordinated bot campaign that was launched immediately after the immigration news broke.
Interesting to think about who is behind it. Likely China and/or friends, as they directly benefit from fanning the flames and making skilled immigrants to the US feel unwelcome.

The biggest needle movers are reducing fat (especially saturated fat) and increasing fibre intake
That being said, high LDL in itself is not necessarily a concern. Total cholesterol levels of 200-220mg/dL are associated with the lowest mortality rates.
Triglycerides:HDL ratio is much more indicative of cardiovascular/metabolic health. You could also get more granular lipids panels to see if your LDL really is a problem
