Full-time: Tottenham 1 Everton 0. Spurs will be in the Premier League in the 2026-27 season! That was a horrible year for so many reasons, but thank the Lord for Roberto de Zerbi. The other heroes were Kinsky, Porro, van de Ven & Palhinha, but the whole team delivered 👏🏻 #COYS

@RudolphN17 @dannolan7 Positive news for sure. But I hope we are not rushing them back and risking a reccurence of injury.

@dannolan7 Last night he declared himself for for minutes, a start unlikely though. We do have a player that’s not featured in training pics/videos that’s so close to a comeback, reluctant to say who that is to anyone outside of my group.

@marcus_buckland Kinsky and Bentancur were massive for us today. Hopefully the Solanke and Xavi injuries are not too bad.

@RudolphN17 Yes! That save at the end. I can’t help feeling that if it was Vic, he would have pushed it into the net instead.

@ben_bowman_ In terms of players who could have made a difference all on their own, it would have been between either Bale or Son. But Bale all day long simply because he was on another level from everyone else.

@RudolphN17 Likewise. I don’t know how many times he’s tried to push-and-run when he doesn’t have explosive pace. The Sunderland LB had a field day against him. At least Tel brings more trickery and endeavor.

@RudolphN17 That’s pretty much the only line-up we can put out tbh. RDZ does seem to like Gallagher tho. So it’ll be interesting to see if he fits him in somewhere.

Always tough to predict a new manager’s lineup, so this isn’t a prediction just what I’d like to see. I’d start with Antonín Kinský in goal. I’m really hoping for a redemption story, big saves, composed presence, and beyond confident distribution. At the back, Pedro Porro, Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, and Destiny Udogie is our strongest four. But it’s not just about defending, we need to maximise what each brings going forward too. Porro’s delivery, Romero’s line-breaking passing, Van de Ven’s ability to carry the ball, and Udogie’s relentless engine. In midfield, I’d go with Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray as the engine. Two outstanding talents who are only going to keep improving and it’s fair to say that I trust them more than any other midfield pairing we currently have. Ahead of them, just give Xavi Simons the ball and let him play. Simple as that. Out wide, Mathys Tel is one of my favourite players and needs backing and freedom. If Roberto De Zerbi gets him firing, he’s a serious threat. On the other side, Richarlison deserves his place as arguably his best season in a Spurs shirt and he’ll be up for the fight. Up top, Dominic Solanke. I genuinely rate him as one of the top five strikers in the league, elite link-up play, scores goals, and a huge presence heading into the run-in. Let’s get behind the boys. Come on you Spurs.

@marcus_buckland @AlasdairGold Tbf, what else was he meant to say with his manager sat right next to him? I do feel that these sort of questions could be structured better to tease out a bit more.

Pedro Porro on Igor Tudor: "Since I found out he was coming to the club I knew he was going to be a manager that would help us a lot and all of the players know we want to be on the right path with him. (contd)

Is anyone going to take responsibility for this mess? The players don't care, the firefighter manager has changed nothing and the owners just sit and count the money. And everyone thought Levy was the problem. We're a shambles from top to bottom. Championship here we come. #COYS

@GeorgeSessions @AlasdairGold I love Ali. But I must say, it has been statistically proven that if he’s on a permanent vacation, we are very likely to get more signings through the door. 😅

Get rid of Ali G and we might stay up you know 👀 In all seriousness, @AlasdairGold is one of the most hard-working journalists out there - let alone on the Spurs beat. Fans would be far more in the dark about #THFC without Ali. And he’s a decent goalscorer. He could do a job!

Small correction on this. Tudor meant to say little toe not finger for Van de Ven. No Game of Thrones references to be had here.

@mitch_fretton Slightly worried about rushing Porro and Danso back. Maybe Gray for Sarr. Sarr’s been off form for a long time and constantly looks to pass backwards and sideways.

Bissouma maybe for Palhinha but think it’s essential to have Sarr’s legs in there and tbh expect Joao to have a good game against his former club.

@georgeachillea I’d stay away from Alonso. Looking at how quickly he ditched Leverkeusen for Real Madrid, he’ll do the same to any club once his ex comes knocking.

On a pure footballing basis, my dream manager targets would be: - Nagelsmann - Alonso I adore their football philosophy and they aren't tied to one formation, it depends on what that team needs at that time. But the BIG caveat is that under this current ownership, it would be an absolute disaster (especially for Nagelsmann). I can see him calling out the ambition of the club and wanting out ASAP even if we made him one of the highest paid managers on the planet. And more importantly with the state the club is in, why would they come? We have fallen off the cliff so much that I think we have no option but to go for Pochettino... He will be on his hands and knees to come back to Spurs no matter our situation, and he will get far more grace from Spurs fans than any other manager. Tactics are one part of football, but the manager also has to be brilliant at making everyone believe it all can work and I think he is an unbelievable man manager. I think he's the man we need right now to galvanise the whole club and fanbase to get us back to a minimum standard that's required. There will always be some questions about if the tactics will work now etc but I can't see another route we can take. I like options like Hoeneß and McKenna too but no one will have the patience for a project manager that isn't Poch atm

GOODBYE THOMAS FRANK. The most hated manager I've ever seen at Tottenham, he will go down as the worst manager we ever had. But I still believe that it's not entirely his fault, we gave to him a team full of injuries, without real quality and with a huge lack of investement. Same old story, another manager that leaves Tottenham with his reputation destroyed. Another manager that wasn't able to transform this poisoned club. Now I'm curious to see who will be the next manager we will hate.

Mauricio Pochettino is our top target, we have no concerns around paying his rumored release clause to join prior to the World Cup, nonetheless a tricky deal to do for obvious reasons. The club does have a contingency plan on short term interim options.
