Over the next couple of days, I’ll be sharing a themed series I’ve tagged the A–Z of Art Law & Business — one post a day, breaking down key concepts every artist, collector, art lover, and cultural heritage protector should know. Why? Because understanding the law behind art protects creativity, builds trust, and strengthens the art community. Stay tuned daily… today we begin with A for Authenticity. #artlawyer #artlawandbusiness #AfricasFinestArtLawyer #ArtLaw #Art

Integrity: At its core, integrity is the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles. It is often described as doing the right thing even when no one is watching. In a practical sense, integrity involves a consistent alignment between your values, your words, and your actions.

@blakeaburge @adedunmade Coincidence? I'm reading a book about building mental toughness, and it talks about detachment from situations, both as a temporal attitude or as a regular resort by always practicing it.

Major cheat code for life: Learn to delay your reaction. Anger, fear, and impulse will try to make you move fast. There's power in pausing. In the pause, you see clearly, you respond wisely, and you avoid decisions you’ll regret. Slow down to speed up.

I am extremely proud of the work being done by @Legalnaija. We are breaking barriers with the way we have simplified access to justice and legal tools on the website legalnaija.com It’s amazing to see it empower both lawyers & non-lawyers alike. #legaltech

Let me introduce you to the work of Pa Jimoh Buraimoh. Jimoh Buraimoh was born in 1943 in Osogbo, Osun State, he was one of the early members of the Osogbo School of Art, a movement that played a vital role in shaping modern Nigerian artistic expression. Buraimoh’s work is deeply rooted in Yoruba culture, often exploring themes of folklore, spirituality, and everyday life through vibrant colors and intricate beadwork. Over the decades, his art has gained international recognition, with exhibitions across Africa, Europe, and the United States. Through his unique style and cultural storytelling, he has made a lasting contribution to the global appreciation of Nigerian art.

I am deeply honoured to have been nominated by the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy to serve on the Creative Economy Policy Drafting Committee. This Committee plays a critical role in shaping the future of Nigeria’s creative sector—developing policies that can unlock growth, protect intellectual property, empower creators, and position our cultural industries as a major driver of economic development. I am fully committed to contributing my expertise, insight, and time to this important national assignment, and to supporting the development of a forward-thinking framework that reflects the true potential of Nigeria’s creative economy.
Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG)@officialNESG

A major step forward for Nigeria’s creative and cultural economy 🎭✨ Yesterday, the #NESG, in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy (@Fmactce_Nigeria), inaugurated four (4) Policy Drafting Committees to drive the development and transformation of the sector. This milestone builds on the MoU signed over a year ago, reinforcing efforts to strengthen governance frameworks, enhance coordination, and unlock the full economic potential of Nigeria’s art, culture, tourism, and creative industries. The committees, focused on Creative Economy Policy Development, Financing & Incentivization, Inter-Ministerial Technical Sessions (IMTS), and the International Conference on Financing, will provide strategic direction and actionable recommendations to position the sector for sustainable and globally competitive growth. With strong collaboration across public and private sector stakeholders, and support from development partners such as UNESCO, UNDP, the European Union, and the IFC, this initiative signals a new phase of implementation and impact. We were honoured to have Hannatu Musawa (@hanneymusawa), Honourable Minister, Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy; Dr Ikenna Nwosu, Facilitator, Tourism, Hospitality, Entertainment, Creatives, Culture and Sports Industry Policy Commission of the NESG and Ms Seun Ojo, Head, Public Affairs and Public Policy at the NESG, present at the inauguration. Together, we are unlocking new opportunities for innovation, investment, and inclusive growth in Nigeria’s creative economy. #CreativeEconomy #Tourism #ArtsAndCulture #PolicyReform #PublicPrivatePartnership
