@adegaboj @daily_trust Refining locally is not our biggest problem. The problem is the availability of crude. The federation gets about 40% of the 1.4 million bpd produced which is 560k bpd, out of which 213k bpd is tied to loans leaving just 347k bpd. Dangote needs 650k bpd and we also have to export

Why didn't Tinubu complete Nigeria refineries to give Nigerians cheap fuel....
What Buhari couldn't do in 8 years....
What Obasanjo couldn't do in 8 years...
What Jonathan couldn't do in 6 years...
I know Tinubu is a super man.... but those who supported Jonathan, Buhari and Obasanjo want miracles from him...
Tinubu would fix Nigeria refineries in 8 years.... but the refineries won't sell fuel below production cost... that is bad business....
In 3 weeks Petrol price has increased by about N600....
As the war in Iran rage.... It could increase by over N1000....
Should Nigeria return subsidy........Never.......
Nigeria consume over 80 million litres of petrol and Diesel everyday...
If Nigeria pay subsidy to keep price below N800 per litre....
It would cost Nigeria over N1.5trillion monthly....
And over N25trillion if the war stretches beyond 12 months....
Nigeria expected revenue for 2026 is N34 trillion...
Recurrent Expenses is N32trillion...
Adding subsidy extend the recurrent Expenses to almost N60trillion...
Some would say we can get the extra N25trillion from the oil windfall since Nigeria budget oil benchmark was $67 per barrel...
But prices are now over $105 per barrel....
Subsidy invite corruption....
N25trillion subsidy bill could easily become N35trillion... As subsidize fuel enter West Africa countries....
Like previous Oil windfall under past leaders... It will only sink Nigeria into deeper debt and poverty...
For those suggesting nigeria give Dangote subsidize crude....
Dangote is not a govt refinery.....
It must profit from these global oil crisis...
Demands are coming from all part of Africa....
Dangote will not give Nigerians fuel for peanuts while higher bidders from neighboring countries are knocking...
Dangote refinery was built to use partly Nigeria crude and foreign crude.... So even if Nigeria dash him crude... He will still buy expensive foreign crude....
Subsidize fuel destroyed Nigeria four public refineries.... We can't keep repeating what has consistently failed....
The only solution out of these crisis is to mount pressure on Trump and Netanyahu to take their attack dogs out of the middle East....
Those supporting these duo and expecting cheap fuel are the reason why the Urhobos say...
It is better to born a thief than to born a mumu...
Proverbs are not for kids...

@realokiemute @daily_trust By refining locally end-to-end, securing feedstock (not exporting crude and also making Dangote to import the same crude) thereby reducing FX exposure. Sustainability isn’t about pumping crude, it’s about processing, pricing, and policy discipline. End-to-End Value Chain
English

@adegaboj @daily_trust And what would you use to control your value chain sustainably?
English

@realokiemute @daily_trust Countries don’t get cheap fuel because they produce more oil.
They get cheap fuel because they control their value chain.
Nigeria doesn’t.
English

@adegaboj @daily_trust Compare the oil they produce to what Nigeria produces

@tolulopekotun @69LifeCode @NigeriaStories Matric Number is school specific. NIN is a National Identity Number. Infact, the same NIN can even be explored for Matric Number issuance...a way to determine local students and foreign students at admission.
English

@69LifeCode @NigeriaStories Why didn't you use your NIN as your matric number?
English

@_paparow @69LifeCode @NigeriaStories 😂 😂 who said? The same NIN some private schools organised NIMC to get their wards registered? What the hell is LIN when NIN can be explored and integrate into so many things?
English

@69LifeCode @NigeriaStories You can't enroll for NIN until you're 16

When I say the Nigerian Media is totally compromised, this is it!
These clowns should please pretend to be a Media House and give us the Minimum Wages of those countries they’re comparing our sufferings with.
Bastards!!!

@GodwinsonFate @daily_trust They deliberately omitted ALL OPEC countries? 😂
English

@daily_trust Every single country mentioned with Nigeria, has a far better living standard compared to Nigeria, aside from the US, Nigeria is the only other major oil producer on that list. So put it in context properly ode
English

@jzn97 @daily_trust Are you aware that aside USA, no single oil producing country is on that list? 😂 😂 Where is that of Russia, China, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, UAE? Then Nigeria... 😂
English

@daily_trust I THANK GOD FOR THE POST OF THIS ANALYSIS. SOME PPLE DON'T KNOW THEIR BLESSINGS OR HAVE ANY GRATITUDE TOWARDS NIGERIAS NATIONAL DOGGEDNESS. WE HAVE THE LOWEST FUEL PRICE GLOBALLY TALKLESS OF THE M0 REAL MONEY SUPPLY NO NATION CAN BOAST OF. THERE ARE JOBS SO HUMBLE UR SELVES.

There is no way Jumia is not raking in mad profit.
They are probably just trying to avoid paying taxes. Lol
Bremen@Rxbremen
Fun fact: since its inception in 2012 Jumia Nigeria and Jumia group (Africa) have never recorded profit in a year. This is its 14th year of operation. It’s been loss upon loss each year

This reminds me of my dad in the 80s working with Volkswagen, after MILE 2.
He headed the unit responsible for crushing dented cars, Santana, Beetle, cars that couldn’t be sold as new.
One day, his assistant suggested they could secretly move the dented cars through the back gate and sell them, instead of crushing them. My dad refused.
My dad went on leave, When he returned, things had changed. His assistant had taken over his position, and somehow, my dad just lost interest in the job, and resigned.
Months later, that same assistant had became very wealthy. Today, the man is late but his family is still very very rich.
That was the beginning of that family’s generational wealth.

Pewbeam is live 🎉
This was just a dream, a dream I didn’t even know was possible—but I decided to pursue it anyway. Today, that dream is now a reality. We have a desktop app (Windows and macOS—this weekend) that can do all of this and even more. Over the last six months, I’ve pushed myself and my team hard, and I’ve seen people become hopeful and genuinely blessed by this product. I’ve received strong support from pastors, church members, techies, and several media houses and reporters. It has been a great honor to spend myself on something worthwhile.
We’ve built an AI-native presentation app that displays relevant scriptures on screen in under 80 ms, without needing a volunteer. We’re starting with scriptures, but we’re growing into a comprehensive presentation software, with slides launching next month.
From testing @pewbeam_ai in churches over the last four weeks, pastors have been able to focus on what matters instead of juggling or micromanaging the media team while preaching. Church members have been able to follow their pastor’s references in real time and take better notes. In the words of a member from one of the test churches: “Pewbeam changed the way I follow sermons in church completely.” This is the kind of impact I see Pewbeam having on people’s faith and on how church and worship are done.
Pewbeam’s mission is to ensure the Church is not left behind in the AI era. We’re starting with this application, with many more to come in the next few months. We’ll keep working with stakeholders in the Christian faith, collect feedback, and build tools that better support discipleship. And unlike previous waves of technology, I believe we can be among the first movers in this AI revolution.
With all that said, the final build of the app is ready, and we’re launching for public download on February 25, 2026. The app has a generous free tier for small churches and fellowships, and a paid plan (location-based pricing) that unlocks unlimited access to all features.
If you’ve been following this journey, I appreciate you, and I assure you it will be worth it.
Please download, subscribe, and use in your church.

I want to build a bible presentation AI agent for church use. Imagine Bible verses coming up on screen as the Pastor preaches just based on what he’s talking about or his paraphrases and quotes. I want to build this completely in public, starting today. Thoughts?

@pheropizzle @valenciaibadan Wrong move! When a case is in court, public commentary that may influence public opinion or pressure the court can be considered sub judice. This can lead to contempt of court and/or possible sanctions. You are a lawyer, you should know this! 🤦🏾
