Reason why I’m not attending Their mum is my mum’s elder sister, so we are cousins. My mum is the last born in her family, and i grew up very close to them. I even stayed with them for a while. The twins are five years older than me, and they’ve always been like brothers to me. However, they did something that really hurt me. We both gained admission into the same university together. They got their admission late for some reason, which is why we ended up starting at the same time. One of the twins was given Accounting, the course they both wanted, but the other twin was given a different course. Fast forward to our convocation day: my mum was sick and my dad had travelled. I was already working at a showroom at the time because I needed money for my NYSC. Before convocation, they paid for their gowns and collected theirs. They have three sisters abroad who are doing well, while I’m the first born in my family and carry a lot of responsibility. I couldn’t afford to pay for my clearance and gown immediately, so I was waiting for my salary. By the time I paid, it was late and I wasn’t given my convocation gown. Meanwhile, they collected theirs and did a photoshoot with their family. After their photo shoot, I called and asked if I could borrow their gown so I could also do my own photo shoot. They refused and said they were taking it to school for pictures. I told them, “But you guys already did your shoot.” I begged them, but they still refused to lend it to me. I was really hurt. On our convocation day, when I arrived at school, I couldn’t even enter because of the heavy crowd and traffic. I had to stay outside with my friend. She had also paid for her gown but wasn’t given one either. We both walked around looking for someone who could lend us a gown so we could at least take some pictures. The person we eventually borrowed a gown from didn’t even allow us to use it for more than a minute before she collected it back. At the end of the day, the only picture I managed to take was blurry because we were rushing. It hurt even more when I heard that my cousin and his parents celebrated his convocation in a big way, they cooked, invited friends, and made it a memorable occasion. I felt left out, but I just looked away. When it was time for NYSC, I had already been working for a year. I wanted to register for mine and asked if they could give me the contact of the person who helped them with their direct posting. They had gotten direct posting to Ibadan, and I also wanted Ibadan or Osun. But they refused until I was posted to benue Since then, we stopped talking. That was in 2022. Until now, I don’t use WhatsApp anymore. But whenever I post something on Telegram, they’re always the first person to view it. So I just assumed they didn’t want to talk to me. In January, my mum told me that one of them wants to do a wedding, but they didn’t tell me themselves. That’s why I don’t want to attend. My mum has been begging me to go but I won’t

One of my favorite twin cousins is getting married this Sunday. I had promised myself I wouldn’t attend, but my mom keeps pleading with me to go.

The Lagos beggar that crossed my path today at Ikorodu Garage will think twice before approaching someone like me again in his life… that is if he didn’t go and repent after what I did to him. I was just on my own, heading to Oshodi. When I got to the BRT terminal, I saw a long queue. I quietly joined the standing line to secure my spot. After about 15 minutes, a bus finally showed up. I stepped out to go and load my card, only to realize I didn’t carry my pouch where I usually keep my Cowry card. I didn’t want to waste money buying another one cause I already have like three at home. So I left the queue and decided to take those mini buses going to Oshodi instead, because those red buses would just waste my time. As I was leaving the terminal, those Okada riders heading to Agric almost tore my clothes. At that point, frustration had already built up in my body. Then this beggar started following me up and down, as if my village people sent him. Meanwhile, I see him there almost every time around the Okada riders, begging. That was when I made up my mind: this one will carry all my frustration today. And somehow, it felt like God said, “Yes, go ahead, my son.” So I gave him audience, and he entered my trap. I asked him what happened. He said he was stranded and needed money to get to work at Oshodi, that his transport fare wasn’t complete. I asked, “How much do you still need?” He started stammering. I already knew the werey just wan lie collect money. I said, “No problem. Since you’re going to Oshodi, enter bus.” He said, “Ah, this small bus is expensive o. I prefer the red bus.” I told him, “Don’t worry, I’ll pay.” The guy quickly realized that my level of madness was higher than his and immediately entered the bus without argument. I sat in the front seat, and he sat behind me. Before the journey started, he leaned forward and said, “Egbon, you don’t need to spend this much on me. I can still go and take standing in the red bus.” I replied calmly, “Don’t worry, God will handle it.” In my mind, I knew God would handle the money, but I would handle him personally. We started the journey. Anytime I turned to look at him, he was frowning, probably thinking about how I had ruined his business for the day. Then we got to Ketu and this guy wanted to get down. I almost changed it for him, but I stayed calm. After I had paid ₦1500 for his transport to Oshodi, he now wanted to stop halfway? Impossible. When I saw him trying to alight, I said, “We haven’t reached Oshodi yet,” pretending like maybe he was confused. He replied, “Mo fẹ ra nkan ni ibi ni” (I want to buy something here). I said, “You have money to buy something in Ketu, but you don’t have money for transport to Oshodi?” I asked him what exactly he wanted to buy. Instead of answering properly, he just said, “Don’t worry, brother, I’ll get it in Oshodi.” At that point, I looked at him and said, “Whether you’ll get it in Oshodi or not, enter this bus now before I remove your teeth.” He quietly adjusted himself and sat down quietly with no arguments. We continued the journey. When we finally got to Oshodi, he was even reluctant to say thank you because, clearly, I didn’t help him; I stressed him. But that one no concern me. I helped him get to Oshodi like he claimed. From there, he can trek back to Ikorodu and continue his begging business. If he ever sees me again in Ikorodu, he will either run… or pretend he has never begged in his life. ©️ Yushab Abolore Ayomide

As a man, you will see a different side of women once you become good in bed. If a woman has not begged you for sex with so much desperation, frustration and helplessness in her eyes then you are simply not that guy. Oml, women beg for just the tip too.

2020. Just after the COVID lockdown, I traveled to Lagos to look for a job. My first interview was at Ikeja GRA and I was staying in Ikorodu. I exhausted all the money I had on my way there and was left with just 200 naira. All through the interview, the only thing in my head was how I was going to get home. I decided that I would trek. I kept lying to myself that it wasn’t that far. Ikeja GRA to Ikorodu. After the interview, I started my 40 years walk from Egypt to the Promised Land. 😂 But as God would have it, someone drove out from the company just as I was leaving the gate. He asked where I was going. I told him somewhere I could get a vehicle to Ikorodu. He told me to get in. When we got to Maryland, where I was supposed to get a bus, he said he was going to Mile 12 and that he would drop me there. I started praising God in my heart. We started talking and he asked how I would manage from Ikorodu (not even the garage, inside inside) every day if I got job. He asked the cost of transportation. I didn’t even know, because that day I had spent more than I should since I didn’t know the place. Then I laughed and told him I didn’t even know. I said I was actually planning to trek home that day because all the money I had left was 200. The way he looked at me, I almost went to hide under the car seat. 😭 Well, he decided to drop me off at Ikorodu garage, took me to where I would get a bus to Elepe, paid for it, and even gave me money for a bike from Elepe to my house. E do me like film.

Everytime I'm still shocked with this act till date. Last year, after Baddy had his surgery and we updated the public. I got a DM. The DM was even in the segment of DM of people I wasn't following. Account had a few over 300 followers, before I responded I went through the account's page just to be sure it wasn't a scam page . Saw a few activities on the page and few reposts. The Account just recently followed me. Next, she introduced herself to me. She goes, Thank you Doc for everything you do on TL. I also smiled and said you're welcome. She then says she wants to also give back , and she wants to sponsor someone's heart surgery, that if I knew anyone with Heart problems that needs money for a surgery, she is willing to pay. She was just touched and wants to do it for someone. Any valve replacement or heart surgery, Just let me know Doc, I'll cover the Bill. She had budgeted 80 million naira for the person. Around the same time, A family reached out to me through a mutual about their daughter who had a Hole in the Heart and needed money for surgery. They have exhausted their finances on tests, hospital bills, etc I later sent her a DM, that I have found someone that qualifies for a Heart surgery. She was super excited to sponsor the family. I was touched, A small account that was barely active on Twitter but was ready to invest in surgery of a random person she didn't know. One of the greatest acts I've witnessed.

when I hear, “It’s not all men” it’s funny to me cause every single woman in Nigeria has either been raped, sexually harassed, or sexually assaulted. So please, who are the men that have been harassing, raping, and sexually assaulting these Nigerian women? Is it the same group of men that move from state to state, community to community and assault Nigerian women? Please, how many men can come out and say that they have been falsely accused of rape, been raped, sexually harassed, or sexually assaulted? Now match that number with the number of women with these experiences.

So yesterday, I made this post I placed my order for fruit juice worth 12k and pasta worth 38k. While waiting for my order, I started taking pictures. Not long after, their light went off. While they were trying to fix it, I sat there in darkness for a long time and eventually had to cancel the food order because I couldn’t create content in darkness. I just took my drink and told them I’ll come back another day. They felt really bad, but I assured them it’s okay. I paid for the drink and was ready to leave. Then the shocker… The management packaged the pasta worth 38k and told me not to pay. I even asked again to be sure I heard correctly but they insisted I go with it. That level of customer service is rare. This is me publicly appreciating them. Acts like this don’t go unnoticed. I’ll definitely be visiting again ❤️ First slide: their Instagram handle Second slide: the food
