STORIES FROM THE ROCKS TO MY CO-GRANITES
Cornwall, England is a huge Petrology lab. At the entrance of Merlin cave at Tintagel Castle are the most dramatic and chaotic formation you'll ever find. Imagine a slate and phyllite facies underlain by low-grade fossilised metamorphism?! This is immediately noticeable to any baby Geologist who took Petrology seriously in their Uni days.
The site Geology got more confusing seaward, seeing an extensive quartzite schistocity with random basaltic igneous intrusion. How is it possible to have rocks from volcanic origin, folliated metamorphosed shale and Shingled turbidites, all in one location? Instinctively, I was strongly convinced I'm standing on a ground that probably was once a seabed, hundreds of millions of years ago. Chatgpt's reply on the Geology of Titagel Castle confirmed and matched all the theories in my head, reliving all the things Baba Ijebu, Prof John Adekoya taught us.

I never met @temiokomi in person but its easy to tell he is indeed a great guy. Never ruffled feathers with anyone except for banter. May God bless his soul. Would @biolakazeem @SportsAdigun @Chrisbamidele or any person who may know his family put out how we can raise a token of support his family?

From my research, @OPay_NG @OPaySupport are also the owners of o-kash. I mistakenly sent money to an old loan wallet created in my name (loan fully paid over 2yrs). I have escalated by calls and email for the refund of the 39k but I'm being ignored. Pls treat as urgent

T2 diabetes in Nigeria is at an epidemic level and we are not yet having the conversation. High blood sugar is the new #1 silent killer. Mummy nurse at Igbatoro road, Akure is still only focused on, "uncle, shay e ma ncheck BP yin?"

An average American can't even find where Nigeria is geographical on a world map. But they see enough to profile you all rightly from the shii you post and the negative PRs you endorse.
Anyways, I recently found out Taiwan and the Vatican also uses Nigerian variant of green passport. When next they want to pack you people join goats at US point of entry, I will quickly insert myself within Taiwanese on the queue.
Me to the entry officer: Nǐ hǎo!

Me and my guys pulled up at our usual suya spot at Olowora. As a regular, the maisuya passed us a plate filled with suya as testing. From nowhere, a random guy started eating with us with a pace that's unbeatable. We couldn't complain since testing is free.
We eventually bought 10k worth in 3 batches and was about to pay. I almost lost balance when the random guy said with confidence, "aboki, give me N500 suya." The maisuya too was so fast in his act, and all I could catch was him wrapping the N500 suya. The guy suspecting a foul play unwrapped the newspaper and all there is were a few slices of onions and a sprinkle of suya pepper.
"Aboki, na only onions and pepper dey here, where the suya?"
The maisuya replied him, "you don chop aam for testing."
Fair call, I'd agree. 😁

I can confidently conclude that doctors are more slippery than lawyers.
I did a test requiring sedation and insisted I didn’t want to be put to sleep. Doctor said, “Worry not, I’ll just give you something to help you relax.”
Halfway into the procedure, I was gisting and bragging that, “Shebi I told you people that I can go through this without anaesthetics.” In agreement they praised me, "you are a strong man o".
When it was over, I felt betrayed realizing how I fell for their gimmick when I was told, "oga, you are going nowhere yet. You are under conscious sedation." Conscious what?
I never knew such a thing existed. Doctors don't lie, but be suspicious when them begin whine you.

Ok. I really don’t like telling this story but let me indulge.
This was around 2003. I had a younger brother who was roughly 5 years old at the time. We had just watched a movie where the protagonist was asked to enter the boot of a car, and out of curiosity I had always wanted to know how it felt.
So on this fateful day, I was playing with my kid bro just where this Mercedes Benz 230 was parked. If you know the one called flat boot, you will know how flat the boot is 🤦🏾🤦🏾.
Now I asked him if he wanted to know how it felt to be locked inside a boot and he said yes. I ordered him to enter and I locked it from outside, with the instruction that if he felt uncomfortable he should just hit the top. As soon as he hit it, I opened it immediately.
Now I didn’t pay attention to the fact that we were just two or that there wasn’t anyone to open from outside if we both entered. When I opened and he said the experience was fun, I decided to join him, a mistake I didn’t realize until I had shut it from inside and we were just two inside.
If you know flat boot Mercedes you will know how flat the boot is. You can’t turn and we were two. I told him I had messed up upon realizing that there was no one to open for us. Anxiety set in. I started banging the top of the boot with the little space my hand could stretch into. We were sweating profusely. I told him if he ever felt uncomfortable or found it hard to breathe he should tell me. It wasn’t up to 10 minutes before he started crying and saying he couldn’t breathe. Now my kid bro had breathing issues as a kid. He almost developed barrel chest because he had severe breathing issues and panic triggered it too.
In my head all that was playing was “let my kid brother not die because of my stupidity.” I kept screaming at the top of my voice while banging the top of the boot. I knew if I could turn and pick a wheel spanner or jack or something I could perforate or break the rear lights from inside, but I couldn’t turn.
My elder brothers were in the parlour watching a movie with very loud volume, so they couldn’t hear. It was the boy who lived with us, who was outside the house at that time, that came to the rescue. God bless Mark Ogbodo wherever you are. He heard my screams from outside and thought I was having issues with my brother, but what drew his attention more was me shouting that I was going to die. Now we hardly fought or had issues as kids so he felt it was abnormal. He went to the parlour and saw my brothers watching a movie so he decided to check our BQ.
Just as he was about to leave and according to him, if he had left he wasn’t going to come back. By then I was already exhausted, seeing double and about to give up. I tried one last time and he was just passing by the car when I made that last attempt.
That was how from total darkness I saw this very bright light and I thought I had reached heaven.
Till date I dread close spaces and angles. I dread boots and I hate seeing people helpless, especially in mob actions. The level of helplessness I felt that day still haunts me till today.
Just know this is a summary of the intensity of what happened that day.

@Templegaurd Wow!. How did it happen?. Care to share?.

@fimiletoks Thank you doc for the enlightenment. I was arguing with friends that the drip hastened the circulation of the venom. Not knowing that's the way to administer antivenom🙈🫣. Let me go and tell my audience of that day (who are my lecture hook, line and sinker) that I was wrong 🫣
English

Antivenoms are administered via IV infusions ( drip ) usually over 1 hour usually diluted in 10ml per kg of the patient's body weight. If the patient weighs 60kg, she will be given 600 mL of the "drip" over 1 hour.
In fact, if the antivenom is pushed very fast, the risk of her dying from allergic reactions or anaphylaxis as a result of the foreign proteins in the antivenom instead of the effect of the venom itself is very high.
Not all cases of snake envenomation can be reversed by antivenom administration. Antivenoms work efficiently when the venom is still circulating within the bloodstream. Cobras are neurotoxic and their venom binds to target receptors very quickly. Once it binds, it becomes difficult to reverse.
Administration of "drip" is part of the treatment process.

@famaki You are using "never in your life" in reference to me in a social media post? You are probably still diapers when I left university. In which home were you raised as a yoruba son? That you are on social media shouldn't make you blind.

FIGURINE VS JENIFA
The difference between Kunle Afolayan and Funke Akindele is the difference between Cinematography and Home video. Cinematography is an art and a technical craft focused on sophisticated visual storytelling, explores academic theories of theatre arts. Requires formal training and deep technical mastery.
Home video is straight-to-video production low budget "skiborobo, talo ngbemu?" Cinematic lens choice, framing, visual mood and exposure control not required. Limited camera movement and no visual sophistication. Practitioners learn on the job.
My own is non is inferior to the other. Everybody should maintain their lane. 😁
