@MegaMotionCD Depends on how they design around it. Volitaris balanced on foot and flying well. X as a whole lets you become very strong and circumvent a lot of the game which is a double edged sword. Super fun but can get old.

@adel_oldo That's fair enough, I wonder if that feeling would get worse in the sequel? The Hraesvelg & Ares Prime are incredibly fast & nimble, I'd expect that was a test

Getting the flight module in Xenoblade X is one of the most magical moments you can find in a game it's also when the entire game withers up and dies because you no longer need to meaningfully interact with the open world in the open world exploration rpg

@nontpnonjo On your way to all of those areas you are either flying over the beautiful world too fast to appreciate it or going on foot and thinking about how much faster it would be if you were flying. That's the problem.

@adel_oldo That's just not true. There are a lot of secret areas that you can't get to without Skell flight, and a lot of areas you can't access in a Skell. Many secret areas will still be hidden. This is also where the game opens up some of the harder combat challenges.

@MegaMotionCD Last time I played I did the majority of side quests as soon as they were available. Something was still lost when I got the flight module.

@adel_oldo It's only a problem if you're skipping past a lot of the content to unlock the module

As of Chapter 4 I think the Knight's demeanor could be reasonably interpreted as either teenage angst or a maternal drive to save her child but I just can't picture Carol being so moved by Minecraft with Gadget (2012) that it would manifest in her Dark Worlds. I'm not joking lol.

I keep seeing Roaring Knight identity discussion and yet as always no one is brave enough to mention how the repeated references to Minecrap weigh heavily in favor of Dess Knight.

Need to play something now that I'm done with Persona 3. Nothing is calling out to me at the moment, Persona 3 really hit the spot.

Lore is a disgusting word. Lore is spelled with only four letters similar to other bad words like dick or poop.

@Eucatastrophee It would be hard to make a follow up to the main game that wouldn't feel redundant or unnecessary but The Answer manages to tell a good story for what it is. It was never going to be as compelling as the main game but it makes good use of the characters.

I finished The Answer. I think that it's the least uninteresting way to do an epilogue to Persona 3. Liked what was there, a story about grief is a natural follow up to a story about death. Held back by the base game just having an outright better ending. More in alt text

Main game ending is a tough act to follow and The Answer doesn't fuck it up so I can't really ask for more.
