@Omojuwa Just like Awo who was spouting ethnocentrism but when the opportunity came for a nation of his people he allied with Nigeria and devised a policy to starve 3 million ppl to enforce the unity he said was fake. This signature fluidity of ethos is revolting

“No, let us understand our differences. You are a Christian and an Easterner. I am a Muslim and a Northerner. By understanding our differences, we can build unity in our country. “ — Sir Ahmadu Bello, The Sardauna of Sokoto. Denial helps no one. You are who you are. Others are who they are. A Hausa man will always be a Hausa man. No law can change that. A single law can change his nationality. Denying our diversity isn’t the same as advancing peaceful living. We must seek peace and justice amidst our diversity, not look to deny it. An Estonian was Estonian when their country was called the USSR. They are still Estonian now their country is called Estonia.

Is the EFCC Truly Going After Only Non-Yorubas? The single biggest individual real estate developer and mogul in Nigeria is Mr Sijibomi Ogundele, AKA Sujimoto, CEO of the Sujimoto Group. Sujimoto was spectacularly declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, then very publicly arrested in September 2025, after a criminal complaint was lodged against him by the Enugu State Government. Mr Sijibomi Ogundele is not just big in Nigeria. He has achieved global renown and has met with international heavyweights such as Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the current Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of Dubai, and other high rollers. Mr Ogundele was a wunderkind and the pride of the Southwest elite and was seen as a mentor to many youths in that geopolitical zone, yet the speed of his arrest, coming barely weeks after the initial criminal complaint, is almost unprecedented in Nigeria. And not a single person has raised the issue that he was targeted because of his ethnicity. After his initial arrest and detention, the EFCC approached a court for an order to extend his detention. Furthermore, the EFCC recovered ₦1.2 billion from Sijibomi Ogundele, handed it over to the Enugu State Government, and seized assets belonging to Mr Ogundele and his firm. Nigerians may recall that the EFCC was so ruthless and effective against Mr Sijibomi Ogundele that the fellow was filmed crying publicly and begging for mercy. Apart from Mr Ogundele, the EFCC has arrested, detained, and is currently prosecuting multiple high-profile Lukumi Yorubas, including the former Kwara State governor, Abdulfattah Ahmed, and his Commissioner of Finance, Mr Ademola Banu, who were arraigned in court on Monday, October 21, 2024, for alleged fraud. Others are the former Accountant General of Oyo State, Alhaji Gafar Bello, who is being prosecuted, and renowned oil and gas businessman Ajayi Olushola, to mention a few. Without mentioning names, the EFCC has also indicated that some persons currently holding office may face criminal prosecution when their tenure ends and their immunity lapses. So, for anyone to say that the EFCC only arrests non-Lukumi Yorubas and gives people from the Southwest a pass is not just a fallacious statement; it is capable of undermining the peace, progress, and prosperity of Nigeria by projecting the false narrative that a law enforcement agency is lawless and guided by ethnic sentiments. If the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission arrests anybody, the proper thing to do is to prove your innocence, rather than allege that you are being prosecuted due to your region, religion, or ethnicity. We need to build a country where nobody is above the law, irrespective of the language you speak or the strings you pull. I commend the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for doing a thankless job for the nation with utmost good faith. May God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Special thanks to the National Assembly of those days, when ‘independence’ actually meant something. Not this Nigeria’s 10th National Assembly that stands on Bola’s Mandate. With this current Senate, if President Tinubu wakes up tomorrow and says he wants to be life president, they’ll probably move the motion before breakfast.

President Tinubu did not campaign heavily on fighting corruption, yet in the past two years, no Nigerian leader has done more to tackle it. Foreign exchange (FX) corruption, deeply embedded in daily transactions and woven into the fabric of our society, has been a significant focus. The significance of BUA’s statement may be lost on many, but it highlights how reforms are effectively combating corruption. Imagine BUA lobbying the CBN for FX allocations, securing favour , and the inevitable “thank you” and “ Second Legs “ that follows. Now picture Dangote and other manufacturers across Nigeria doing the same, alongside bank facilitators handling Form Q, Form A, and proceeds matchmaking. In just two years, these practices have been largely eliminated. The CBN has regained control of Nigeria’s forex market, and for the first time in decades, official rates now drive the exchange rate market—a true corrective mechanism. President Tinubu is fighting corruption quietly but decisively, without the fanfare.

LEGENDARY J.O.E@LegendaryJoe·
YOU ARE WRONG - From 1999 to 2007, Tinubu stood firm in the saddle of the Alliance for Democracy (AD), navigating the turbulent tides of Nigerian politics. In 2003, the AD ship capsized spectacularly - its captains committing political harakiri by surrendering their strongholds to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). All but one governorship seat was lost. Who stood tall amidst the ruins? The Last Man Standing - ASIWAJU. Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, Omo Olodo-Ide charted a new course in 2007 with the formation of the Action Congress (AC). What began as a spark soon became a wildfire - the AC spread its wings, broke new ground, and gathered political feathers until it evolved into the All Progressives Congress (APC) by 2015. Now, here's the kicker: while Agbotikuyo and Akotileta were hopping from one party to another like frogs in a rainy season, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu never once defected to an existing party. He built his own bridges, walked his own path, and planted his own flags. Granted defection is neither a sin nor a crime; even birds migrate when the skies turn grey. Humans are permitted - infact expected to migrate when they sense impending doom in their current habitat or when the association they currently belong clearly lacks leadership and organization, rational folks will then seek shelter in an arrangement with coherent leadership and better promise... But History must be recanted with accurate details... So, for those whose memories are short and whose tongues are quick, a little introspection might do. I await your apologies and corrections - better late than never, for he who errs and admits is wiser than he who clings to folly. Good Morning Severally...

There is nothing like a one-party state. APC had about 36 percent of the votes in the 2023 presidential elections, the party won, but not from a strong position. About 2 of every 3 voter didn’t vote APC. Any claims of one-party state are from people who were hoping the party would just go to sleep, whilst the opposition creeps further in on them. It’s a game of numbers, when it’s your turn, go to sleep.
