Even though I dont like frontend dev, I spend most of my time making my components perfect.

The community program that Google used to run for developers in India be it Developers Student Clubs or GDG on Campus - it has been outsourced to a third party and the quality of the program has gone down a lot. I believe for development or engineering in general, a supportive community is very essential to build upon and to support but simply outsourcing it to a third-party vendor for cutting costs is not at all the solution. The mindset with which Google would deliver it themselves cannot be the same with which the agency partner would do it. I have heard from student communities across the country of this and now students are thought of as sales machine or lead generation funnel rather than a learning and leading community spirit. I was myself a part and led a DSC Chapter at my university during college and it was a cherished experience but its very different.
