Social sustainability resists simplification: which can make it hard to know how to get started and have measurable impact. Our exploratory report with SBC lays out a roadmap to accelerate the 'S' in ESG: sbc.org.nz/wp-content/upl…

I often see ‘Good Parenting’ confused with control. It’s considered Good Parenting to have a child who will stop doing what they are doing, because you say so. Children learn self-control through practice in controlling themselves, not through being controlled. 1/

Our inspiration for this report was the kuaka - the bar-tailed godwit - that makes an epic 11,000km non-stop journey between Alaska and Aotearoa, to secure the future of their generations. Their preparation, courage, agility and teamwork lit our hearts.

No one is handwringing over general food waste throughout the supply chain such as supermarkets (which we absolutely should be!) - so let’s call this what it is, scrutiny of the poor because we feel entitled to judge.

In the schools I've worked the school lunches are making a huge difference, even for some families when kids take a leftover lunch home. If Treasury is so concerned about this why not pick up the ph to MoE and ask them to adjust a few school lunch orders. So hard? Not really.

Up & down the country, deeply, incredibly deeply, loyal New Zealanders living in places like Taupo, will turn on their TV sets to support this World Cup & have heart attacks. They'll be rushed to hospital but will have to wait until all the Maoris are operated on first & it's all Chris Hipkins fault.

Probably too smart to leave evidence, that’s how you muster a secret army. Not by leaving recruitment flyers for scientists to find.
New Scientist@newscientist

Reports of orcas damaging or sinking boats has led to speculation that the whales are mustering an army bent on revenge – but experts say there is no evidence they are intentionally recruiting podmates or that they are seeking vengeance. #Echobox=1687943415" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">newscientist.com/article/237879…
