I’ve made the tough decision to step back and skip the upcoming split, despite having opportunities to keep competing in VCL. This decision didn’t come easy, but it’s the 2nd time in my 10 years long playing career when I’m going inactive (first one was in the end of my CS:GO journey 5 years ago) - and it might lead to retirement as a professional player, about which I’ll let you know when the time comes. I wanna take this moment to thank B8 and players i have worked with for the last 4 splits. All these years, I was driven by pure enthusiasm and passion, fully dedicating myself to the game. Unfortunately, Riot's approach to the Tier 2 scene has significantly drained my drive to compete in this game as a player and made me rethink my path forward. It’s clear: nothing gonna change in the nearest future, at least this is how most of us see it. And hoping for better changes when i will get 30+ is definitely something i wouldn't like to rely on in my life. Valorant is an amazing game which i really love, but the Tier 2 ecosystem is at its lowest point. Also, i really miss those times, when tournament system was open and you had a chance to compete vs the best. I’ll make sure to keep watching Tier 1 games to stay in the meta and play some ranked games from time to time to not lose a grip. As for the coaching offers that i have received all these years - which would naturally align with my long-standing role as an IGL and the experience I’ve gained over the years - at the moment, I’m not considering this path. This decision is influenced by factors more related to my current life situation rather than the state of the game or my desire. However, if it ever changes, I would be open to sharing my perspective. Regarding my future - I’ve been presented with an exciting opportunity that I couldn’t turn down. It feels like the right move and great path for me, and I’ll eventually let you know about that. Thank you for your support, and don’t forget to stand with Ukraine.
