Those fighting for life? Sure loser. Name one thing Palestine has done for the prosperity of the world. Israel has given uncountable advances in medicine and has more Nobel prizes than all of Arab states combined. Bark more. There's one good side in this conflict (Israel). Cope.

So what will Ruben Amorim do now? Smash the system for good? Many Manchester United supporters saying it for ages: players better suited to a back-four not 3-4-3. Club tradition about solid defence, back-four, and proper width with wingers. Not wing-backs. Wing-backs are an affront to United's great heritage (and to the strengths of their current personnel). And Luke Shaw is not a left-sided centre-back; he’s a good full-back. Amorim been tweaking HIS system recently. Starting a back-four against Newcastle United signals a less stubborn streak. Pope and hope. Heaven and Martinez impressed. But where does this leave De Ligt? And Yoro is certainly not a right-back.  First half United attacked well, and quickly. Dorgu far better wide right. They fought hard. The kids will develop. Amorim twisted again during the game (and not to great effect - plus questionable subs and Newcastle wasteful). But they clung on to important three points. Just need to work on a system that clearly suits them better and offload the likes of Zirkzee. Amorim is a good head coach and enjoys the backing of the board. Let’s hope he gives back-four a chance, wingers a chance and so gives United a chance. #MUFC

WHY I STAND WITH ISRAEL by Cynical Publius ______________________ A lot of people sometimes wonder why a white Catholic kid from New Jersey is such a staunch supporter of Israel and Judaism more broadly, so I would like to explain. It starts, of course, with being from an ethnic mixing bowl of New Jersey suburbia where kids came from all sorts of ethnic and religious backgrounds.  Having Jewish friends as a child meant little more than they went to Temple on Saturday and you went to Church on Sunday.  Kids have to be TAUGHT to hate differences, and thank God my parents never taught me hate.  We all just got along. But it’s much more than that. I have spent years of my life in the Middle East. I served not just in combat over there, but also in positions integrated into Arab communities.  I worked very closely alongside Gulf Arab governments, and made great friends, being invited to their homes, and sitting in the desert at night during Ramadan in a tent gorging on flatbread, hummus, chai and weird card games.  (Other service members frequently accused me of “going native.”) Here’s the thing that drove me crazy. The Arab friends I made were highly educated, intelligent, thoughtful people in every regard but one: if you brought up the subject of Jews, these otherwise intelligent people would instantly descend into babbling idiots endlessly repeating easily disproven antisemitic blood libels straight out of The Protocols of the Elders of Zion.  The visceral hatred of Jews in Arab countries is ASTONISHING to behold in person.  It is everywhere, it is irrational, and it’s the kind of hate that throughout history has been reserved for groups like the Nazis and the KKK. But in Arab countries in 2025 that hate is actively encouraged and totally socially acceptable, at all societal strata. You really have to experience it to understand it, as it is SO IRRATIONAL, SO RIDICULOUS and SO EVIL it eludes adequate description from my keyboard.  Seriously, I am sometimes told I am a good writer but I lack the skill to adequately convey the irrational, systemic hatred pointed at Judaism in the Arab world. So my point is, I have seen this first hand, and I know just how much of the hatred against Jews and Israel stems from these malicious, pernicious lies, and—here is the important part—when I see and hear my American countrymen and women saying the same exact things I heard so often in the Middle East, it sickens me that the USA is still able to generate such people. So there is my explanation.  If you have not lived in the Middle East, you can’t fully understand, but I hope my explanation resonates anyway. (Also, let’s see how many hundreds of followers I lose over THIS post.  Good riddance.)

@MuizOlalekan Man utd should sack whoever’s handling negotiations. Every deal turns into a Netflix series. If the 2nd bid for Mbeumo was rejected, say it, stop playing smart. A serious club doesn’t haggle forever over payment terms. If the player wants to come, pay up or move on. Enough delay.
